Australian glitch producer re-creates Skrillex bassline

Post by sketi » Mon May 09, 2011 1:04 pm

Yep, another Skrillex thread

But this dude actually has some really good tutorials, and he said if there is enough interest he would post some on how he did all the resampling etc, which I would be fairly keen to see....

I have an extreme distaste towards Skrillex, so I would :P

Why does everyone bum Skrillex so much? In terms of sound design he is one of the weaker bro artists and that's just a fact.

Damn stop pussyfooting around this, people are so scared to just say it...

The majority of them already had his posters in their bedrooms prior to him cashing in on dubstep.

Anyway these sounds are close, sure, but you can hear filters opening in his that aren't in the skrillex ones, next though, he really didn't make the same sounds like, osc wise either.

this tutorial is pretty fucking close, its the closest i have ever heard.. i would like to see more from this guy and see how he goes into his resampling as well.

but i dont like skrillex mainly because he is becoming so cliche and everyone and their mum is raving about him. i hate those kids that just heard of dubstep this year and are like OMG SKRILLEX!!! his music is pretty good but i can only take it and small doses.

Skrillex bass? Erm...no
Pretty good recreation of the song itself? Most definitely
