It's probably a hardcore gig...
Re: mosh pits & dubstep
Music tempo, and it's drum kit are what inspire dance and how it's done. If people want to mosh to dubstep, let them have it their way. Jesus.
I don't mosh to it, but the movements I can do at times are pretty extreme, to the point of jumping up in the air then landing hard on a snapping snare.
So long as they're not hitting you, why give a shit?
That said - If I had my way, the gabber stomp would have been wiped out a long time ago, for pure ugliness factor alone. lol

Don't wanna sound corny but you should just chill and dance to the music...
Dubstep does seem to attract some right tosser fans tbh...I don't truly no how to describe them - basically indie homophobe. kids who think they're "special" because they enjoy "filth" and don't look past that one-dimensional side of dubstep. These are the ones who dress like retards too, just enjoy the F!cking music...

Someone must've been in the 'mosh pit' in Arena 1 at Outlook for Skream's set?
I see why a mosh pit happened in that case; Skream dropped Metal Mouth.

Except that they are hitting you, that's the point. I like listening and dancing to music not being hit in the head or pushed over by a bunch of bros which tends to happen at every show I've been to and it's fucking ridiculous.amphibian wrote:So long as they're not hitting you, why give a shit?

Just thick isn't it, and fucking annoying when getting immersed in beats to get a limb in the face.

at reading fest for magnetic man, full of twats, benga got out of their cage/rig thingy n said on a mic "wheres my mosh pit crew at" poeple next to me crouch down in build up to the drop, stupid idiots had no rhythm couldnt tell when the song was about to drop... would wait, realise it had, n then start moshing.

Spot on mate. Had The same problemo at leeds. homophobe. starting pits. In all honesty I was ridiculously twisted but a few of us just stood in the pit to make a point. Actually spoilt my Magnetic Man experience a tad bit!stevenleaton2 wrote:at reading fest for magnetic man, full of twats, benga got out of their cage/rig thingy n said on a mic "wheres my mosh pit crew at" poeple next to me crouch down in build up to the drop, stupid idiots had no rhythm couldnt tell when the song was about to drop... would wait, realise it had, n then start moshing.

Magnetic man unfortunately is not the sum of its parts, especially live.
They were great fun at pukkelpop fest though, fortunately the crowd didn't resort to moshing there.

Moshing can be so annoying if ur just ther for the music or particular djs (and not drunk). But if people just start banging into you no fists and shit, just jumping about pushing then it can be are lot more fun bein in it than the outside of it. tbh i didnt expect a mosh pit for tek-one, but lots of laddish nobheads went bashing around at the front... so fuck it i went in for a little mosh even my girl mate went in got a little battered but it was all jokes

Re: mosh pits & dubstep
there's absolutely nothing wrong with moshing. if none of you guys want to mosh stand off to the sides and "dance"
most of what constitutes dancing is just standing and jumping in place or grinding on some random chick who's so wasted she won't even notice your nerdy forum lurking paws grip her waist as you really feel that bangin' tune.
moshing and hype are great.
standing there pumping my fist is the exact opposite of fun.
if you dont want to mosh or get hit, don't go near the pit, and don't cry about it.

I don't care how "hype" a tune is...moshing with a bunch of bros at a dubstep show is fucking stupid.
Maybe you'll understand this once you hit your 20's, maybe not...

Re: mosh pits & dubstep
Moshing is generally shit. Sometimes you need them though to scare off the morons sat in the middle of the dance floor, eyes closed, legs crossed 'meditating.' Fucking hippies.
