Flux's snare sound

Post by Krakkemikkig »

Sup all,

Probably will get flamed for asking this but does anybody know how to get a similair sound like flux pavilions snare sounds?

For example in this track:

I reckon he uses atleast a clap and maybe a 808 snare for the attack and alot of reverb, but I can't get it right. Does anyone here have any tips or suggestions for me to get closer to this sound?

Thanks in advance.

Could you be a little more specific? How do you layer that with a snare? :)

Stay vigilant, search mediafire too, possibly /rs/ if you're feeling lucky.

Insta pro drums.

Everyone knows, Reso uses em, Flux uses em, Dayn, Doctor p, Datsik, All the greats.

Every drum sound you could ever need from shakers to bowel emptying kicks.

love it when kicks empty my bowels. Most effective when kick is delivered straight to the lower abdomen.

anyway the white noise just has to have the right burst of amplitude via ADSR. zero attack, short decay, zero sustain, half release (non-zero values are an approximation)

Ham sample packs are sick for drums, also Ham VST is the shit for basslines.

Ham is a bit old skool though, if you want the more modern skrillex sound you will need to get Alpaca sample packs, and Alpaca VST.

Yea as everyone else has said, definitely download Ham VST; has some really warm synths. and the Ham sample pack is good too, around 5 gigs of pro samples
