to be honest the PWM isn't all that but you can modulate just about anything within thor and any thing else via the CV outs on the back.

I produce my tracks using Reason exclusively - I might export every track individually as audio and then mix in Sonar from time to time also. Kind of like rewiring but I like to be able to see the music as a waveform at some point during production. ... probably because I'm used to mixing recorded audio tracks - and it stops me editing the synthesiser sounds all the time :P

That is Reason 5 I think?

I have never used the CV in/outs? what do YOU use them for?
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

use the compressor on the channel you want sidechained, and split the channel you want to sidechain it to and route it to the sidechain input
adjust settings et voila

ive been learning on reason since i started ( about a year and a half) and i can tell there is still soo much to learn and do on it! thats what keeps me interested! Ive heard logic can make your tunes sound alot better becuase of the way it produces the sound or something?

i'd definatly be more interested in some info to do with the darker/dungeon sounds.. stuff liek lurka and j:kenzo.i want my neighbours to think ive got a pet whale not a pet robot!

the icicle masterclass is pretty interesting!but anymore on this kinda bass in reason would be great!

Made a quick example, sidechaning kick to the bass. You split the kick with the spider audio splitter. Route 1 to your normal output and the other into the sideschain input of the compressor of the bass.

i use CV if i need an extra LFO or envelope and controlling stuff with the matrix and thor sequencer. you can also merge LFO's together for more exotic modulations.

going back to the audio input thing, you only really need it if you want to speak into a mic and use your voice as a modulator live. you can use anything in the Reason rack to modulate whatever you want. i like using drum loops to make rhythmic textures.

get Record, you get upgraded to Reason 5 for an extra £25. you get much better mixing tools, audio tracks, dual racks and a lot less cable clutter.

I used to say this as well until people started to laugh and point at TPB when I complained about not having any money for production.

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.
