Half hour before bust, well worth it. Sorry for spammin', should probably be in Artwork thread or something.
These are class. Don't go sticking them in the art-work thread, the good thing about photography is anyone can pick it up and with practice take good photographs.

Having said that. I have two pet hates: urban exploration - simply a massive yawn. And those stupid photographs done by first year photograpy students, like of an vase standing in the shadow of a cherry tree in blossom on the M25. Supposedly suggesting that photographer is all dark, brooding, and mysterious. Fuck off! :D

Got a Flickr?.
Cheers, dude. The first one is probably my favourite out of all the photographs I have taken. Good to hear ya like it! Edit: it's broken bullet proof glass lying on concrete :D

Flickr: Nah, well yeah - sort of! I can't remember my username or password, it was pre-yahoo and I can't even remember the email address I signed up with. Signed up when the website was first launched, what

The second one - with a little tweeking could be awesome. I'd burn the street lights out and slightly bring up the saturation, maybe fiddle with the curves to see what comes up. In fact, you maybe could crop the top circle off and get rid of the street lights, creating a more defined point of interest O_o

Cheers. Those were pretty much what I was gonna thinking of doing, only shot these about 3 hours ago though, will have a proper fiddle tomorrow.

As for urban explor; same, rarely seen anything that interests me. Saying that, I know of an abandoned listed building which has 80s wooden ramps in it...

Get a Flickr, wont be doing yourself any good uploading them onto 90% of image hosting sites, compression & coypright.

I hate flickr. Instead I put a few on Facebook and some my others (that I made money on) will remain on my HDD :)

I keep meaning to get myself a website sorted - but I can never be arsed to design one for myself!! Might do that this week actually, or today even :o

May I ask why? Can't think of any better way to share your images online other than a personal website.

Facebook compression is so bad I don't even bother, you relinquish all rights to any image you upload too...

I don't like the interface or all the lame comments you get, telling you how wonderful your photo is and how it's won an award on such and such a group. It's all just spam and sycophancy. I used to like Deviantart but I don't think I have logged into that for a few years either. It's full of anime and manga kids now :(

Some great shots in this thread.

I know what you guys mean. I think a personal domain/website is best if you are thinking of more than just uploading some pics, like trying to license some, etc. Flickr does that and it's no doubt useful, but I think it's best to have your own site, and maybe just a smaller presence on sites like Flickr, with links to your own site. I'm more into video art type stuff but have done photography as well, and I had purchased one of these to use: http://activeden.net/searches?term=phot ... type=files

You can edit them and make it suit your style very easily. There's also easy to install free scripts and plugins to prevent saving images or videos (not necessary for most flash galleries), and watermarking is good for those who love Print Screen. There's some very nice designs there to get you started and very decent prices.

You don't get any awards/comment bullshit if you don't join all the bullshit groups and submit them to pointless competitions.

Literally haven't got any comments on Flickr, hate that shit.

Need to start thinking about a website, wouldn't even know where to start though.
