Telling Stories with Dubstep Tracks

Post by _TraX_ » Wed May 11, 2011 7:00 am

You know the tunes I'm talking about, the ones that feel so alive that it's almost like they're living and breathing along with you.

Just for fun, get creative and write a little paragraph of a story or setting or scene that comes to mind when listening to a track, I'll start:

Ghost Hardware - Burial
A small alien space craft, the size of maybe a vcr, lands in a park, it opens up and something rolls out, not really able to describe physically, but something you can hear, it provides the beat to the track. As it crawls in the long grass, it makes certain sounds. Whispering, whining, whistling, it has a very faint feminine voice, and moves along the ground fast, but the motions it makes with it's twisting body looks as if it's moving in slo - mo.

That's how I describe that tune, fuckin love that one :D

Any one else out there wanna give it a try?
I found a way to get piece of mind for years and left the hell alone, turn a deaf ear to the cellular phone

haha I always interpreted Ghost Hardware as a voice, wanting you to get closer. then once you get closer you get that synth bass pushing you away again at the end of the bar

Does anyone remember that thread where people were typing out the sounds of the tracks with words and people had to guess what track it was?

If the sewer systems of the world were to come to life and ruled by giant slugs... this would be their anthem.

The gas heater exhaust ignites as you hear pans drop in a distant kitchen. Three deepset gongs sound in echo. Someone grabs your shoulder, you turn to face them who tells you "don't be afraid ... we are protected."
