its just a very sloooooow process of tunes getting recognition
things are recognized fairly quickly in this community. You have not even been on here a year yet parson and you are getting some wax with your name on it.
Unsatisfied with the current dubstep sound ?

It's weird that we've got to this point (again) in a thread which started off with someone putting together a compilation of tunes that they see as pushing the sound forward.forensix (mcr) wrote:ramadanman wrote:posting on a forum will not change your perceived problem with dubstep atm. if you don't like whats happening then maybe become a DJ and push your sound through mixes....become a producer and make tracks you want to hear, become a promoter and put on a night with people you think should be booked etc etc.....actions speak louder than words
FWIW, I think it's bitching and moaning on forums that really doesn't help. I wouldn't mind seeing more posting from people supporting the producers who they think are breaking new ground (and the DJs who play those producers, the clubs that book the DJs that play those producers and so on) and helping them get noticed.

same here. i certainly have no issues with people wanting to break out and do new things, but the genre seems wide open and healthy to me right now. there are so many influences coming in, and that keeps things varied. plus, get creative and work tunes from other genres in and your sets will always be fresh.
just my three cents.

And this is why I think people don't like it when others openly criticise the music, because there are a load of different styles and sounds now that make the criticism pointless.Chef wrote:There's something for everyone, it's more diverse and healthy than it's ever been.
Also, it shouldn't take the recognition of labels for up-and-comers to "up their game".
