If this is the same EP I'm looking at those are all REALLY old songs. I mean like... REALLY OLD. Pretty sure all those tracks were on the Maryland Chocolate Chip mix. Why release an EP with tracks that have been floating around the interwebz since like 09?

Why not? People release old tunes all the time if the fan base wants em

That marlyand mix was well received. Stayed on top of the mix forum for years!

Why not? Because I assume he's made plenty of tracks since then and I bet his production values have gone way up. Maryland Chocolate Chip mix was a pretty awesome endevor but the production values weren't quite up to par with a lot of the other "filth" producers. If you compare the widdler's recent release of older tunes (free and LOTS of tunes) then look at Cookie Monsta's EP it's a joke. WAY less songs and way less obscure stuff. I dunno, I really dug that Maryland mix BUT if that's STILL what he's riding on in 2011 then.... wtf?

They are remakes of his old songs, not the original versions from '09. for the record I don't like em, just trying to give the guy some credit.

i copied this from a post i just made in the guilty pleasures thread, but then i saw this thread, and thought itd be a bit more fitting...

just gunna put this out there, how many people that dont like Excision have actually seen him live on a proper PK sound system?

a very easy example of why i say this is his existence track, ive listened to it in a car with a good system and dual 15s, xone xd-53s with a headphone amp, and on various home systems, but even still the only time ive really heard all of the bass in the intro and truly enjoyed the rest of the song was on the pk. Like he really does put a shit load sub bass into his songs, but its all down at like 25hz or something insanely low. The few seconds between when it goes "power up the bass cannon" and then "fire" were probably the most intense moment of bass ive ever heard, but like i said, i listen to it at home even on very good equipment, and i still can barely hear it.

I like both Circus and Rottun. But if I had to put my thumb on one it'd probably have to be CIRCUS ftw. I only say this becuz I think Flux's melodies over powers the whole Rottun label as a whole! lol. To me anyway, it's not all about the wobbles and dirtiness, gotta have some flava! ;-)

OP should have a poll. While I'm not a big fan of either label, Circus has at least released some music I can stand so they win.
