I miss Malstrom. Only thing I DO actually miss from Reason...

Did they ever add DB-markers to the mixer? That facked me off when Iw as turning down channels and couldn't see what DB it was.

Same, they added db markers in record but not reason. I'm pretty sure they are highly inaccurate though :\

Not to the mixer, they only added a master meter if i'm not mistaken.

Also the meters in record are fine ;-)

I usually set my kick and sub to specific dB levels. This is pretty impossible in Reason, and it makes teaching mixing using the program quite hard. This is why I export the audio to Sonar and mix there. I wouldn't change Reason though - for me it's fine. Exporting the audio forces me to decide when the music etc. is finished, commit it to the mixing stage and put the geeky white coat on. I can still do a half decent mix without dB markers though - I'm not a maniac lol

Well I have Record and A: The channels on the mixer have db readings and B: They are a bit dodgy.

Ok but do you have some more specific example's, or proof? Not trying to start anything, just interested. Been using record for over a year and never encountered any serious problems. But usually just look on my master (peak mode) anyway, which seems to be pretty accurate. The one in the rack is even better cuz its got a bigger scale.

The only way to tell if a dB meter is working correctly is by comparing it to a properly calibrated meter. If it works for you then it's a non issue really.

Only way around this is to use the maximum, set it to default so it does not other than tell you the db output.
