jetpack - theres some potential in this song but i agree with sera1 that the bass could be a bit dirtier and the drums could use some beefing up. also try to make the higher strings more audable i could see them being used somehow to make it sound better

oprs - woah nice im diggin the bongos and other percussion. song sounds very epic reminds me of king kong or something haha. im not sure what you could add its sounding good so far i like the break with just the bongo at like 2:19 when it goes back in. maybe try adding some higher sounds into your main bassline

sera1 - really nice i enjoyed the into. main bassline after the drop sounds cool too and i like all the blips and whatnot (1:30) . the drop itself seems slightly off though

aspect-dubz - i really like the vibe of this tune nice job on the flow. sub is nice and so is percussion. could maybe use a few more random percussion sounds maybe to make it even more interesting. the part where it sort of kicks in at 1:40 is sweet as well.

heres something i started yesterday/today it seems like it could go somewhere but still sounds off to me?
im looking for crit/feedback on things such as how i can build it up better or how i could make the actual song after the drop sound more hyphy and danceable

fds- great use of EQ automation, when the track first started i thought it would be badly mixed throughout but the drop came in nicely and let all those highs and mids in. It would definitely drop well in a club.

heres one i've revived from a while ago, made it a bit darker:

@sera - that intro lead is cool, the atmosphere could use some gain. the drop is dope, its chill but yet hits hard

@fds - could use some better mixing but other than i definitely think you could take that track somewhere. all the bass sounds are sick, they need a little resampling but nothing you cant fix up.

@aspect dubz - i think you should put some hard bass ramps in there but thats just personal preference. has a really nice atmosphere, but maybe try adding something in the higher frequencies

tried something a little different, havent done any bass resampling or mixing

Great feedback guys!! Good call on the dirtier bass. I will adjust the drums, just looking for something simple and catchy. I appreciate the feedback!

Hiphopstep!! I like it. Great sampling of the vocals!! Looking for some moments without drums to emphasize the vocals. Looking forward to hearing more!!

kushhmane-ughhh holmes. this is gangsta. i say you throw just a lil bit of reverb on those middle and high freqs. also just liek that other dude said. drop the beat on the 16th or 8th bars of each sections or some shit. itll make it heavier! this is fresh as fuck tho.

aspect-dubz-damn man some crazy ass shit. for whatever reason i just cant see myself listening to this anywhere though. ive got nothing to grab onto. but just hearing this now is pretty fuckin dope. original!

fds-freshh. i dont know about the super highpitched that coming in every other bar though. other than that single sound this shit is bangin. i love the tiny bit of release on that synth! haha. this could def become something tho!!

here is some shit i dont even know man.
weed n shit.

kushmane- please dont kill that song, i really rather enjoy the original.

fds i like it. its not your run of the mill crapstep, its got some shuffle. i like the vox and lead synth you got going. id say have a dramtic pause him go into the voice, and just drop it.

fdis- I suggest bringin the hats out a bit more, souds like you had some good stuff goin on there, but the mids/highs totally covered those up. goods hats=dancing
kushmane- reverb and a little release, (to my ears) back off on the lead a bit, kinda comin in hot

fds, I like the mix of synths and vocal chopping in the intro. thought its all went together quite well. the screechy midrange stuff isnt my cup-o-tea but I think the mixing is fairly good ;)

Aspect-Dubz, Holy shit I loved the intro! when that synth chopped up I instantly liked it ;) I like the way those congas sound. are they sampled from a loop or are they single-shots? I cant tell! (not a bad thing :) ) Love the eerie feeling when the bass kicks in. Keep it up :)

Kushhmane, LOVE the idea! I think its great but I think it could use some more sub. the vocals seem to duck behind the wobs a bit so maybe turn them up a smidge? other than that, i love it!

RightOnTime27, Very chilled vibes throughtout the whole track! love the drums and sax! sort of Kromestar-esque (On my top 3 list of dubstep producers ;) ) The shakers and background claps definitely play out well. this is some shit I wouldnt mind gettin high too :D

----------------------------
Heres a new WIP of mine... ABSOLUTELY stuck! Im trying a newer chilled vibe, sort of Breakage influenced and I'm not sure where I should be going with this. I know the first synth is off beat. I forgot that that synth is fucked up somehow so I havent bounced the audio yet.

weedcali - I like it, very relaxing vibe.. Maybe make more variations in the wobbles? add some vocal samples? I don't know.. sounds pretty good so far..

RightOnTime27 - Sounds great! really love the parts with the sax, keep it up.

kushhmane - I like it, but the bass does sound a little to much like gameboy for my liking, maybe switch it up..?

Anyway, here is what I got going, I like what I have so far.. But I feel like it needs more elements.. I'm kina stuck, could use some pro advice..

i gave some feedback earlier today but nobody commented on my tack:/..probably because it wasnt embedded in the post..do i have to type some sort of html to get the soundcloud widget up? i'd really appreciate some feedback on mine, ill post the link on the bottom

fds - i really like the track overall, id compress the kicks to come over the rest of the track a little more, maybe a little more punch in the snare too..maybe have a longer build up and change the chord progression on the build up as well to add some variation

spray paint - definitely a weird, trippy beat thats pretty cool, i think you over panned a bit on the intro though, a bit too trippy haha

oprs - lovin the deep sub in this, esp around 1:37

RoT - diggin the bass + synth, i would add a little more shuffle to the beat if youre tryin to make it more dancey though

infected pasta - pump up those drums man

here's my WIP..it's pretty raw and scattered, but let me know what you think..if there's something i need to do to embed the widget too, let me know

InfestedPasta, I like this actually. The hihats and snare could use some subtle reverb and the snare should probably come up a bit. it almost sounds like the rest of the track is ducking behind the bass, maybe turn it down a bit? idk. I can imagine a cool synth pluck kinda thing doing a quick arpeggio with some reverb and delay in the background if you know what it mean?

Hendy, the bassline is pretty all over the place, which is good for that sort of track. Not really my cup-o-tea in terms of the bassline. I think the vocal sample should definitely come up in the mix a bit.

thanks mate.. yeh the two bongo/conga sounds are samples on there own, although i threw in a loop of incidental hats and glitchs in there, then put it through the camelspace plugin to keep it back in the mix

@weedcali- sounds good man, very dark and eerie with the sparse beat. Personally i would throw in some kind of a sweeping reese bass at a quick breakdown
@sprayyypaint- really digging this track. Love the panning with the percussion and the very unique melody and vibes, sounds like you've sampled some kind of medieval instrument for that melody infact
@kushhmane- usually not really my kind thing, with the midrange bassline but it definitely works.. could imagine it going off in a club nicely.

@weedcali, pretty dark stuff! I like it, the first synth sounds very ambient and it suits the track well. As for ideas, I can't give you any solid ones, but I do feel that you can do more with that climax part, maybe adding another go of it with some variations should give you a nice track duration! I'm looking forward to the finished one!

@InfestedPasta, I think just practicing and trying to assemble full songs and just keep trying will get you further on that, you need to work on intros and outros mainly, just keep listening and learning from the music you enjoy as well, it'll teach you to pay attention to detail, and gives you a broader variety of ideas on what to do to fill up your track! As for the wobble, I feel it could use a bit more high-end frequencies! Keep it up!

@Hendy, digging the first synth pad, maybe the vocals could stand out a bit more, it kind of drowns into the pad right now. I'm digging the drop style as well with the stops, well done on that!

Heres one of mine, a bit different than the older one in my sig, any feedback is appreciated, enjoy!

fds- sick tune bro! The beginning eq was off but that can be fixed. def. alot of potential there.

kushmane-liked the song but like the others said, drop a couple beats to emphasize vocals. and since its a vocal track, turn the vocals up a little.here's a little something im working on. no where near finished or perfected, hoping for some thoughts on how the songs plays. thanks again guys!

Crow Steppa: Production is fucking mint on this. Drums are crisp!!! Sample is nice. Shame I don't actually like this track, it just annoys me, because its fucking awesomely produced. Sorry I dont like it, but it is a really well put together track, make no mistake.

Radiant: Those polysynths could be brought to life a bit more, reverb perhaps. Likewise with the drums - sound a tad dead. Get some hi hats and cymbals in there too man! Drop is sweet ass, just need to tweak the production on this man. Creatively sick.

Infested pasta: OK, drums are way too quiet. BRING EM UPPPPP. Its not called DRUM AND BASS music for nothing ;). Bassline is actually really well made. MAke a proper intro, amend the production issue and this would be sick.

Heres mine!

Hey, thanks a lot for all the feedback guys! I tried my best to beef up the drums, and I raised the high end of the bass wobble.

Soundcloud

Does this sound better?

Here is the old version : Soundcloud

I felt in the old one that the bass line was changing a little to rapidly so I decided to repeat the first 32 beats that happen after the drop (how many bars is that?).

But I am going to keep that second part and bring it in later.

@Cubicle, Iorek, oprs- Thanks for the advice guys I'll see what I can do to make it all flow together
@ BeastModeForDummies- thanks for the kind words man really means a lot to me :D

@infestedpasta- Sounds good man but i still feel like the drums can use some more beefing up though, I don't know if your using any EQ on them already but it shouldn't be too hard of a fix either way :D Keep up the good work man!
@debaser1- That sub bass is a thing of beauty! Really liking this one man finish it up soon!
@Crow Steppa-"you remember when i rubbed my nuts on your butthole?" haha nice sample man, good production, good flow, keep up the good work and thats gonna be a badass song!
@Radiant-This beginning is so catchy man I love it! This is some Flux Pavilion level shit! I honestly love it man I can't wait to hear the finished version!

Here's another one that I've been working on, a little stuck on it so any feedback would be greatly appreciated
