shaolin spear - rattan (flexible) with steel head and horsehair tassle (for entrapping)

ninja spear - oak (rigid) with steel head

shaolin monk, no contest. the ninja is rigid, and lacks the internal self awareness that the monk has trained hard to obtain. sure any martial art will train the soul/heart/mind, but the monk places the internal, spiritual self above all else, and thus, is aligned with his true Self. everything he does is simply another step toward the path of enlightenment.

the ninja is a killer, and this is his weakness.
