I think it's a national tradition for everyone to sit in fields drinking during summer
I live in a pretty rural town, and almost every single field is full of people getting drunk and having barbecues when the sun is out :w:

gonna see lexy&k-paul, paul van dyk, blake baxter and monika kruse for free tonight.
and a girl gave me her jacket last night, saying we're gonna see each other again anyway and i can give it back to her then.
so that means either i have a date or a new jacket. win-win!
oh and tons of free beer, in fact the very same beer the dj's will have to drink. i love my job.

I hate your job or you. I'm not sure which one :D

What do you do that has you working with Blake Baxter and Monika Kruse? I saw her smash up the Weekend Club, amazing dj. I LOVE Berlin

The crowd was fairly modest and roused only by familiar brostep (Flux, Doctor P, etc) but N-Type smashed it nonetheless. A good range of sounds, some Jakes bit that was too ridiculous for words, loads of Benga, loads of Dismantle and loads of girls can only be a good thing. I'll even admit that I brocked out to that Tetris track when it got dropped. :5:

Found an Oxfam shop that had Pump Up the Jam, Boom Shake the Room, Ring Ring Ring (Ha Ha Hey) and some 90's Def Jam records for a quid each :h:

Feeling good giving to charity and sweet music on vinyl :corndance:

Need to do this soon!

Mates put their first night on tonight, I played a good set, they had a good turn out and my plates sounded so nice through the rig they had! Also very nearly got battered by a piss drunk 60+year old scouse woman who lived in the pub across from the venue because we were being too noisy outside smoking!

Had a great time at DMZ / Exodus. Met a few ninjas too so pleased! :4:

Run down:

Youngsta b2b Kryptic Minds - Awesome, as expected, must admit I prefered KM's selection but probably because it more Kryptic dubplates. Youngsta's selection was the same as his radio show, was good to hear it all out on Iration Steppas though, totally still got J:Kenzo - Rough House in my head!! Kryptic Minds win though because Badmin VIP is a fucking monster.

Vivek vs Jack Sparrow - Jack Sparrow's first 2 tunes were so deep, seriously...my face was screwed to fuck. Vivek was his usual goodness, dropping the usual selection of mad dubplates. Probably favourite set of the night!

Loefah - Saw Loefah twice tonight, in main room and room 2. Playing the usual acid house, 808, Swamp81. Much preferred him in room 2, some properly big tunes in there! No Goat Stare though, which I thought we might of possible got. Really good.

Coki - To be fair, thought it was a bit poor. Mans got the dubplates but hes nothing on his own without Mala! Brilliant producer though, you know!

Distance - Usual Distance affair, still one of my favourite producers. Cyrus - Looking Back is still probably my favourite tune of the year too. I couldn't help but think that the soundsystem seemed to be turned down a wee bit though? Bass didn't hit me as hard as others, especially Coki!

Hatcha - Didn't bother as I ain't really been feeling his selection recently so went to watch Loefah again!

Til next time. :o

Man I so wish I had come back for this. Line up was just silly. Always ends up being an expensive night though so instead I started revision.
