nba finals 2007
go detroit!
i like the pistons chances...since webber came they've been aces...i think he makes them a better team than with ben wallace....dont know if this will match the pistons /bulls of the early 90's but looking forward to watching it.....spurs/suns series will be wicked....amazed the jazz won...had the rockets in 6....gutted 'bout my raptors...all the games can be watched in europe via p2p....

The Pistons are definitely looking like they'll take it all. The Bulls are playing great ball but they are giving up a bit of talent and a lot of playoff know-how to the Pistons.
My Lakers went down pretty rough in the first round. I thought they'd at least give the Suns as good of a fight as they did last year (when we choked it away in the 1st round after being up 3-1...weak)
But surely looking fwd to the Spurs/Suns series. Would love to see the Spurs go down. My two favorite teams are the Lakers and anyone playing the Spurs.

Here's what i don't understand....Webber was terrible in Philly with A.I. He goes to Detroit and he's 20 - 10. Why is this? Plus -- during his stay in Philly, such a big deal was made about his previous microfracture surgery and his knees. He's in Detroit....you dont hear anything about his knees at all. I do agree -- Webber makes them better offensively.
and -- people talk so much about the Western conference....but the East has won two of the last three titles.
2004 Detroit Pistons def. Los Angeles Lakers 4 -1
2005 San Antonio Spurs def. Detroit Pistons 4 - 3
2006 Miami Heat def. Dallas Mavericks 4 - 2
let's say the Pistons win again this year....are they a "dynasty"? 3 appearances in the finals....2 wins. Maybe....
i think if you look at webbers #'s he;s almost exactly the same with philly and detroit this year (12 & 7 roughly in 30 mins). obviously webber is still capable of putting up 20 n 10 any game but not day in day out anymore., he doesnt get enough touches to do that..and doesnt need to, detroit just has so many more options than philly did, defenses cant focus on him like they did in phillyjoenice wrote:robbiej wrote:i like the pistons chances...since webber came they've been aces...i think he makes them a better team than with ben wallace....dont know if this will match the pistons /bulls of the early 90's but looking forward to watching it.....spurs/suns series will be wicked....amazed the jazz won...had the rockets in 6....gutted 'bout my raptors...all the games can be watched in europe via p2p....

last point.....the east wins beause the west is better...did you see the suns spurs yesterday? both these team wil be dead by the finals..easy pickings for the east....if detroit was in the west i would put a $ on them....the jazz are the dark horse this year...
the pistons aren't in the same boat that the sixers are in with superstar ego's and a whole bunch of talk.
the pistons are about textbook b ball. assist's , rebounds, passing, no grandstanding...this is the heart of the pistons magic right now. when the bulls took wallace, i think it turned around the team's dynamic. wallace is arguably one of the most important defensive players in the nba, but offensively he's garbage. he can't hit 2's or 3's inside the paint to save his life. he's a dunk master, which is not always a good thing.
chauncey billups is absolutely critical to whether the pistons can take chicago. he reminds me of ewing and so many other legendary captains.
the best part of this series right now is knowing that rasheed wallace and ben wallace are still best friends in real life. you don't see it at all on the court.
