A friend showed me Skream - Superfly this had an impact too.
Coki - Goblin, was the one though! Absolute killer! (Still rate it better than Spongebob, Lucifer etc)
Burning was another that changed things.
Let's all be honest here though, we liked the music when we heard it etc but it wasn't until one night you went out indulged in MDMA or some form that you realised you love the music! From then on never really looked back!

Re: How i fell in love with Dubstep.
in about 2007 i was at my mates and he was just randomly playing dmz - haunted and that was the first time i heard dubstep, as soon as i got home i searched for more, something that really helped was last fm, simply searching digital mystikz it would play tunes from similar people and thats how i heard more names and styles, obviously then got into fabriclive 37 lol and then tearout tunes when bar 9 were making killer beats..but ive always listened to every style of dubstep because i enjoy it so much.
Re: How i fell in love with Dubstep.
I first heard a song called "spread terror" on youtube. I only got to that because, by accident, i clicked dubstep when i typed in a "d"

I was sold from that day forward.

Had been playing Drum & Bass and Techno for a little over 6 years or so when my friend played Rutten for me in 2007. As soon as I heard it I said to myself that this was the music I had been looking for.
Re: How i fell in love with Dubstep.
a bit weird one, i first got into grime (basically bbk) for a bit without knowing anything about dubstep. then forgot about grime, didn't get bored, just forgot
then i heard tawiah's broken heart on the radio (not actually dubstep but clearly influenced by it) and thought wow, this is cool. but even after that it took a long time before i thought to myself: might have a better listen at this whole "dubstep" thing. listened to cockney thug on youtube
downloaded a couple of mixtapes and so we went!

Re: How i fell in love with Dubstep.
first heard caspa - rubber chicken at a friends house through his sub and i was blown away, a lot of my friends listened to DnB and i didnt mind it but when i heard dubstep it made more sense too me, started browsing on youtube and inevitably most of what i found was brostep, which i didnt mind to be honest. Then i bought "i love dubstep" and it totally changed my perception of the genre as a whole and introduced me to the 'proper' stuff
unfortunately hardly any of my friends have kept up and are still listening to brostep on youtube whilst telling me that i only listening to boring dubstep

Re: How i fell in love with Dubstep.
First dubstep tune i really digged was sizzla - i got to (virus syndicate remix).
But it really took off when i was listening to mud by loefah in the record shop. I remember the headphones being at ridiculously loud volume, the drop almost fried my brain.

I heard that I Love Dubstep mix cd a few years back. Rottan by Skream stood out in particular.

The first dubstep artists I ever heard were Datsik, Flux and Skream. They were featured in a "best drops" video and I instantly got hooked. Haha
Re: How i fell in love with Dubstep.
Having a blazeup at like the end of 2008 and a friend played excision shambhala 2008 mix, completely blowed my mind, exactly what I'd been looking for. He sent me the link for it on barefiles and just searched bare of the tracklist on youtube, related videos and tinggz
