Do you have any suggestions for drum packs? I'd do a google search, but I don't know which would be high quality and produce reliably good sounds.

The Vengence Essential Drum samples are some of the sickest around. And they are industry standard for the most part. Sift through those and do some drum layering and you'll be well on your way!

Also... sample! then sample some more... just keep sampling from everything for drum hits. Lie, Cheat, and Steal to get them.

You'd be shocked how much difference it actually makes. Especially if you rip from tunes in the same key you are writing in.

Very good for only a few months, the main synth could be thicker, but I dont really have any more criticisms that havent been said already, I get a lot of my drum samples from battery and cant even find the vengeance essential pack anywhere.
