@fds - bodyclock clipv3 is quite unique, it reminds me of something i would hear late night on CBC radio 2 up here in canada. I love the spacial -ness of everything, very eerie yet inspiring feeling. i would love to hear the final product :)

@oprs - shock therapy is very nice, i know its a WIP but feels as if its lacking an element or 2 or 3. you could take this in any direction really. add a little more kick and snare with some wub wubs lol and u could have a floor banger, or leave it as it is and its a nice chill dub track :) kudos on your skillz, very clean sounding. I also liked your dnb track :)

@infestedpasta -drumsteppin4 is good, but you could add a thicker kick, and some sidechaining compression to duck down your synths/bass everytime the kick, kicks.. be creative to add variety to it. maybe glitch it up a bit, add a few dropcuts to some vocals here and there, the posibilities are endless. stop and take a listen to some other drumstep tracks you like and try and replicate some sounds to an extent.

my 2 cents for now :) keep up the good work everyone! i have been listening to alot of your guys' work and although i dont ahve time to comment on every single piece, just know you are doing a good job no matter what, and eventually you will have a masterpiece to call your own.

-Cheers

@rebel730 ; this tracks pretty heavy dude! i like the intro synth and your lfo sounds solid! drums were pretty tight as well. i would try and variate the bassline a bit more as the track progresses. would appreciate a 320 when finished :W:

@dmisreal ; dunno if my headphones were just up too loud, but the synth in the intro played loud as hell.. hurt my ears :u: besides that it doesnt sound bad, its a bit simple tho (prolly me just nitpicking)

@fmsea ; intro is soundin sexy. those vocals are hot! i dig the bassline as well, my only advice is to spice up that percussion. if you wanna go for an acoustic/realistic drum pattern you should look for some organic loops n maybe slice em up. slick track tho bro

ive already posted this recent WIP of mine..

Soundcloud

here are some other sorta finished tunes that id appreciate any comments/feedback on

Soundcloud

or the one in my sig :)

yoyo, i want to upload my new WIP after taking some of everyones advice and editing a few things. I really thought it was alot better, i hope you all do too!

@eldoogle: I hooked you up with some feedback through PM.
@hudson: You too, a few posts up.
^I really hope this isn't cheating^ :)

@dmisreal: This piece wasn't too bad. I assume you'll be adding more later to fill in some spots? If your going for that grimey, mid-range distorted bass thing, you'll either want to automate some more parameters or resample some more sounds and mix em together. Add a bigger build and you'd have a nice intro :W:

Heres my new WIP:

That's pretty sick man, gives me the jitters
I might turn the sub up a little bit, maybe have something in the background for a bit more atmosphere, but it sounds pretty sick atm, got that dmz vibe to it

@urbannerd62- (Simplicity) you work yur atmospheres very very well bro ; good drum work :57 = <3 and the bass ? Top Notch deep and heavy, and the quality is really good !goodshit ! i'll send the 320 yur way soon as im done :)

@Zerbaman- (track in sig) im really diggin' the melody and the way yu filtered the drums right up to the drop, basswork gets an A, subtle little synth yu have around 2:35 works well ; goodwork

Cheers man, that's my first release too.
Don't want to seem petty, but *cough*. Only if you want to of course. ;-)

@ z6z: that sub bass on exhale the signal when it drops is fucking lethal!!! what processing have you done to make it that heavy, deep and clean? i can never get my subs to thump like that. that rim snare sounds very nice, perfect fit with the track, maybe a tad too loud tho, big tune tho. i would try and add some subtle atmospheric elements to fill it in a little tho, unless that minimal empty feel is what you're going for

@ urbannerd62: (i can't fight the feeling) liking the 2step feel to track, kicks could do with being slightly louder and phatter and eq'd, their barely audible in the intro, especially as you bring in more sounds. that part of the intro where the drums cut out could do with some filling in, maybe some delayed percussion or swooshes here and there. drop is sick but as i said, i think the mixdown isn't too on point so could be so much better, would love to hear the finished version of this tho

@ Danimal: (eyes on fire) big shift in mood between the intro and drop. intro sounds really nice, can't say i'm too big of a fan of them synths after the drop but each to their own. track sounds very clean on my system. i think maybe in that bit just before the drop where its only the vocals going, you can add some atmospherics or percussion just to fill it up a bit. whats the sample? i really like it, may even have a go myself at remixing it!

@ ideate: big tune, that drop is so smooth, drums and percussion are sick and mixdown on what i'm listening on sounds clean, maybe a little bass heavy. think you could maybe bring them vocal snippets through a little tho, but really feeling the groove to this track

@ hudson: (mind rhythem) work on your percussions in the drop mate, set a four bar loop on the track and just improvise with playin different patterns, also, try adding delays on some of your hits. i think the main problem with your drums is that it sticks too much to the basic dubstep drums. try adding hits here and there and layer up your sounds. other than the drums, the rest of the track is really nice

@ therebel730: really feeling that synth pattern in the intro, think it would be perfect for a grime/eskibeat instrumental. the drop is way too loud tho, you need to turn it down cos everything is distorting to fuck, and bring that 'whut' sample out more, its barely audible

right so heres my new one

a slow deep and melodic tune with a heavy sub to it

check it out and let me know what you think, any bits i can add to it, comments on the mixdown etc...

Soundcloud

also, if you happen to know a girl with a nice voice (soundmouse-esque, if you don't know about her, check out the track phaelah - afterglow), show it to her as i think this tune could really work with a female vocalist
