I did enjoy this, I think danny wallaces cameo towards the end added a bit of something for me. Rhys darby is always good to see in things I think, but yeah it wasnt terrible.christophera wrote:this was real good

Redderious wrote:Not as good as the classic for sure, but the actor that plays him (same guy from Big Lembowski?) is pretty badass. Nothing better than good ol' John Wayne and Clint Eastwood movies though haha. Iv'e been looking for old Eastwood samples lately, no real luck though.lysergene wrote:Yeah, I'm into old spaghetti westerns too. Still need to watch the Coen Bros remake of True Grit though.Redderious wrote:I've been tryin' to get on watching 'The Hurt Locker', looks quite the bad ass piece of film. Anyone watch Westerns here?
Yeah Jeff Bridges is great as Jeff Lebowski. Wicked film, I'm into Coen Bros films in general. You'll probably need to rip Eastwood samples off the films.

I didn't 'get' The Matrix films. Not my cuppa cha. Mainly coz Keanu Reaves is the worst actor in the history of people pretending to be a plank of wood.

It was great.christophera wrote:the version i saw way back in the day had really detailed subtitles with footnotes that explained the literary references and double meanings that are completely left out in the american dvd version. it was an mkv files if that helps at all.
Some of the subtitles were confusing but all the detailing made it a lot clearer.

At least just get through the first one, the following 2 films can be missed, the first just can't. No human being should live without the first.herbalicious wrote:hahahahha that actually made me Laugh Out Loud.cityzen wrote:Do you mean you have to watch all three, or you watch one, dress up like Neo and go and have a picnic in the park?christophera wrote:i can't watch the first one without making a day of it

one of the most dissapointing things that they never got to finish the sword of doom planned trilogy.. really wanted to see the ultimate square off between mifune and nakadaicapo ultra wrote:I have not, it must not be, this shall be rectified immediately, thankscityzen wrote:I wholeheartedly second this!capo ultra wrote: honestly, I'm not tryin to discredit Clint but Mifune is so fucking badass
If you haven't seen 'Red Beard' then his badassery is not fully apparent to you.
Mifune's cameo in Sword of Doom is unreal, just ultimate badassness

that was written by the same guy who wrote the man who fell to earth. if you look at both stories carefully they kinda describe the same dude.
Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
Have not seen or read it. Should I rectify that?
