@flay - nice simple track. I like it! It's maybe a bit empty on the high end. Maybe try adding hi hats or a subtle pad, but nice overall
@ironik - Niceee! Good production, I'm loving the sound and the melody goes really well with the beat, which is great also!

Here's a recent one i'm working on. It's saturated a bit I think, that was a post production mistake I made, but i'm too lazy to change it right now. Comments are appreciated!

urggghhh.. wrote it all out then it told me i wasnt signed in and then deleted everything i had typed. well here goes again!

@stefevr - didnt see that coming at all wow! amazing atmoshpere and intro. really feeling it, decently produced filth and the trancy synth youve got there is awesome too! havnt got anything more to say about it! youve got yourself a follower on soundcloud!

@sweetjames - nice man can imagine it going off in a club, the intro needs work and more energy could be built up for the drop like said before. i think that high pitched almost eagle like sound could have some sustain put on in and make a melody out of it or something?

@ninthy4 love it man got a real nice roll to it and the beat is sick, however the second melody that comes in doesn't sit aswell as the first bass line, might just be personal though... also the second kick pattern youve used doesnt seem to roll aswell. i think some more hats could definatly be used but apart from that sick!

heres my new tune, its almost done but i dont know if it needs something else? a stab or a lead synth or something? i had an offbeat reggae guitar kinda sound on it but it completely change the feel of the tune and not sure it worked.

@ng-gamma - that deep bass feel is dope, sounds like it could be a bit heavier though
@stefevr - those bass noises are sick, but it seems like the drop should go on longer than you have it
@ironik - thats such a sick track, the vocal samples really carry it out

heres a track im makin for a friend, not quite done with the arrangement but kind of hit a roadblock

*Disclaimer*
I'm listening through laptop speakers so can only really comment on composition.

@stefevr: You're intro is beautiful! Really love it. Then you just take a big wank on it with some horrible screechy 'ting. I see the style you are going for but that synth just kills it for me. The other synths are all good, I just hate that screech. :(

@NG_GAMMA: Sounds proper deep, like it (i'm having to imagine a massive sub but even still). You're percs are awesome, you have progressions at all the right points. Excellent work.

@Kushhmane: You're intro sounds like an ultimate grime intro, awesome. Drop is cool, not fond of the synth after your little "yoi" synth. However other than that it's good. I feel you drop out to your break a bit too soon though, I would maybe get a couple more variations in there.

Right, this is completely new territory for me, never made a tune like this before but I like it. I basically ripped off a tune from "Toejam and Earl: Panic on Funkatron" which is a megadrive game with a killer midi funk soundtrack. Thought I'd give it a bit of a LazerBlaps remix.

This is good man, the one thing I'm not too keen on is the bitcrushed piano, sounds out of key. Mixdown's pretty solid though, big up!

First post so we will let you off. If you want feedback from people you have to give AT LEAST 3 other people feedback first. It's on page 1 of this thread.

However like I say, first post so s'all good.
Really like your intro, are they your own water recordings? The drop is good, drums nice, bass is sweet, excellent work!
The only thing I might do is double up your hats at points (i.e. to 16ths as opposed to 8th notes).
Wicked tune though really like it!

I really like the intro it's very chill and relaxing, not really a fan of the high pitched stuff that comes afterwards.

@stefevr
this one is a banger when it drops. I want to see the patch for the high ringing synth. I'd suggest using less of it when its introduced for the second time towards the end of the song. Its a fair share of bars worth of high pitched ringing. Don't over do it.

@NG_GAMMA
thats a nice bass. Grungy and probably holds steadfast on a good sub. I want a synth that would occupy the high end. Maybe something like the classic reggae guitar plucks on the "And" beats.

@ideate
yup, I'd call it a wrap on this song. Nice sample work. Real soothing harmonies as well. Clean build ups. This has great production value.

@EDN
I'm not sure if thats a WIP in your post, but its incredibly unique. Definitely an intellectual tune.

@stefevr. thanks for the advice, thats what i thought. still trying to figure out how to make a nice sounding pad that isn't too intrusive. your track is sick! the drop is mad and the tune in the build up is pro. the only thing i think is that it drops a bit too suddenly. i reckon it needs to build up a bit more rather than just BOOOOM DROP. ya dig?

@ideate. sick track bro! love the glitch in the hi hat. solid effort :h:

@danimal - love the melody, the drums are great, everything flows really nice. I Can't really find anything wrong with it, it's great! downloaded it haha!

@NG_GAMMA - the intro is dope, I think maybe adding some metallic percussion into the intro could be interesting. also second drop is dope but to me it seems just a little long but still sounds great

@stefevr - not really my style, not really a fan of that kinda screeching! but pretty cool. it does sound over-saturated like you said but other than that :Q: nice

heres a wip for me! something differentish, let me know what you think!

@zerbaman - Thanks for the advice, I think i've fixed the tuning by dropping the bitcrushing on a few of the notes and layering some other piano.

Track = DONE. Thanks everyone!

@Danimal - Like the style, very cool and 8 bit. I'm not feeling any bass however, crank a sub up in there and it will be really phat!

@OgGunslinger - I see what you are going for, that kinda west coast glitch think, its a cool style which I listen to a lot. However you reaaaalllly need to mix it down, its muddy as a bastard. Try scooping some of the elements at about 400-1000hz see how that works out. You also have some uncomfortable pops and crackles which are either from clipping or not having faces at the end of your samples. They are also only coming through on the right speaker so look out for that.

@Crow Steppa - Drums are very static, get some swing on there. The weird bendy synth thing is cool kinda, I think you got a little to much resonance on the synth though. And the drop completely comes out of nowhere, I would build up to it more. Good track but it feels too robotic, give it some swing and some real feeling.

@JustabitMajestic: First tune is well phat! I'm like it, proper skankin tune! However your mix is slightly muddy, I suggest you do the same thing as OgGunslinger, try scooping a bit out of some of the middle of some of your synths (maybe your skank which is pretty pervasive throughout the whole track.) Wasn't sure when I heard it start to speed up but after the drop I'm sold, good work sonny jim!
Same as the second tune, phat synths and stuff, maybe just a little too muddy. At what frequency are you filtering your sub bass? And are you using a pure sine or are you splitting your other synths?
Also are you mastering your own tunes? They sound a tad squashed (although I might be chatting shit)

Right, this is a more developed version of the tune I posted at the top of the page, its nearly done I just need some advice on the mixdown and the structure possibly.Soundcloud
Safe!
