@ EDN the squashd / muddiness you're hearing is because I'm mastering my own tunes and I havent layered any sub bass in at all. the subs you hear are from the synths themselves. I'll do some work to clear em up and get a clean layer of sub in. thanks for the input :D

people seriously, i dont care if your new or not or got 500 posts.

this thread is gonna become a CLUSTER fuck, with everyone just posting songs, no feed back, its gonna turn into the dubs forum.
atleast here we get to hear peoples thoughts before we finish, so please have the common fucking courtesy to respect your fellow producers instead of being a prick/selfish

I am sorry for uploading my track before giving feedback, I just wanted to try to post the song I was trying to figure out how its done and then couldnt delete the post to do everything properly.
I have few questions : How to make thing less messy ? Even when I manage to sort out the fighting frequencies problem my sound is still shit, I suppose the problem is that there is a way to make sound of a synth thicker and more concrete , if so, how ? Saturator ? Maximizer ? Where can I get that information ? here is the track im working on if anyone wants to try to play around with it I will be happy to upload the ableton file with all the required samoples (some drums and the movie dialogs I used)

http://soundcloud.com/alexeyhermann/dea ... t-finished

So here is the feedbck :

JustabitMajestic : I suppose no need to say that the sound is great ( how did you achieve such clean sound ???) , the composition is well structured as well. The only thing is that I think it lacks dynamics. In my opinion you track could be more dynamic if you make you "phrases" more in form of question-answer, where question is one synth and the answer is the other one, dont know how to explain better.

oprs : the sound is grate, classics ) I think you could only improve it by adding more "melodism" if i may say so, everything else is very good.

Crow Steppa : the track is good, try using more synths , you can keep the melody , but use more synths, it will add variety (is that how its spelled ?:)) and compensate the lack of melody

Your songwriting and synth programming is on point!
You just need to work with EQing things out so that frequencies aren't clashing, and you need to work on your mixdown.
I'm interested to hear what the final sounds like though

Soundcloud

I just want to know how people are feeling about this tune.
I went at it with the intention of doing a Requake/Badklaat style groove with my own unique synths.
Basically a mellowed down groovy tune with tearing synths to play off the simplicity of it.
Tell me what you think! :4:

@stasis - heard the track a while ago on facebook :D pretty much like it, maybe talk one day on music cause i love your shit :D

@stefevr - pretty cool but the synth is kinda harsh like high freq wise but that could just be me :P

@alexeyhermann - good song but your mix is really muddy, tighten it up with eq's and youll be good ;)

now for my shitty song cause i decide to make dnb today, O.O

@STASISSTASISSTASIS - something about this track i hate, but i fu**ing love it at the same time man.. really neet sounding, maybe make the percussion more interesting , ya know ?
@ogunslinger the vocals are off time , but aside from that , it was a really interesting and neat track, also it was very fun to listen to and roll a joint at the same time :D hahahaha

stefevr- drums sound way back, i like the synths in the intro. very nice and melodic, but you need to work on those drums, its killing the track. could be never mind. dropped and all i hear is doctor p immitation with a house vibe. not much more to say

stas- not really my style, some of the synths sound a little to distorted to me. and gets a little repititve

mannny fucking nice dnb bro. i dig the hell out of it, i need to get back trying to continue my lil dnb career. not much to say, everything sounds pretty crystal.

specimen- sounds mad muddy in the begining for some reason, synth overpowers everything way to much.. can barely hear that snare at all. need towork on the mix down as your going, it will help alot..
you got some steady change ups going on. really sounds like you upped the tempo around 2 minutes. could be chill if you worked on evening everything out, and that super high synth gets really old quick.

this is for the torqux remix and before your like homg that screechy ass shit? hell no.

this is spot on maybe pull the tiniest bit of wet off your snare reverb as well.

lovin the way this tune rolls but the intro while it sounded like you were going for over compressed with a filter sweep it is a bit too over compressed.

first off before you get smacked with alpaca you should leave three pieces of feedback of some tunes before you post yours.

that being said i reall like the mellow vibe that you have going on but your tune sounds like you are playing the melody with a sub that you have beat to shit with distortion and then rolled the lowpass back so you can pick up the melody. Use the sub as a sub bring in another instrument and do a slight variation of the sub melody but eq them so the top of the sub that is to high now is the bottom of the new sound

Haha thanks man, I mainly stick to producing DnB (shit DnB). I just thought id give it a try today and 140 leaves a lot more room for atmosphere than 170.

@five-ohh-what: Love the opening melody. That last note is killer for some reason. That sax seems a bit artificial, though; maybe bring out its bottom end more, if possible. It seems like the track took a while to layer up (to 1:50, I mean). Seems a little repetitive overall, for some reason. Maybe have a B-section with a swung, low-tempo variation? I think it might fit nicely.

@oprs: Nothing bad to say, mate. Like how that delayed/reverb synth trips up over itself around 1:55 and near the end. Very chill, surprisingly.

@alexeyhermann: Something seems just a tad off about your snare. But whoa! Love that drop. Feels a bit too fuzzy, though. The backslide-like synth pitchbend at 0:43? Awesome. A bit too much reverb, though. Stuff starts to drown out. But yeah, wickedly awesome synths.

@Lucas Kane: Smooth and soothing. The sub reminds me a bit of Kromestar for some reason. Atmosphere-wise, I like the background effects. It all works together pretty well. What soft/hardware are you using?

Suggestions and thoughts, please.
