Skrillex Live Video Edit [NOT ALL DUBSTEP BEWARE]
Re: Skrillex Live Video Edit [NOT ALL DUBSTEP BEWARE]
thats due to the period of time many deep heads have spent getting frustrated over the bastardization of something that's precious to them. So to be fair, thats why more pairs of panties are bunched up on that end of the spectrum. if i'm not mistaken, dubstep started out carrying a kind of cheekyness to it, not taking itself too seriously and the like. but the vibes were really thick and weighty form the get go, and that brought a lot of people together. I'm not one to say that filth is shit. But to be honest, there is nothing threatening it the way it threatens the bare vibes of the first wave, from days of yore. 3
in short, brosteppers have nothing to lose.

Re: Skrillex Live Video Edit [NOT ALL DUBSTEP BEWARE]
well i hate the music (standardly lol its not burial and thats all i like in the entire wordl - have you heard burial - in mcdonalds?)
however
the filming isnt bad mate but i reckon you should invest in a steadycam shoulder rig and a tripod plus some sharper editing and less pointless defocuses - doing this would give your stuff an edge on the hoardes of homemade footage of raves out there. also consider losing the dub era logo/name (its wack) and doing a decent quick sting/title at the start of your videos. find a way to delineate yourself from others.
seems like you are into filming music - so film music - concentrate on filming it well and fill a niche - consider expanding what music you film and things hopefully go well for you.
prob wouldnt listen to the manchildren into 'roots' dubstep either. keep it broad etc. i mean i hate loads of stuff but i used to like tearout breaks a lot lol.
only listen to ghey house / disco / burial now.

Fucking christ...
I'm at school right now, just finishing my final assignment before I can graduate, and I just saw some first grader emo kid wearing a Slipknot shirt listening to a Skrillex track on youtube, suddenly he goes through the class telling all of his mates "dudes, seriously, do you know that Skrillex and Korn collab? You gotta check it out! It's brutal!"
Then all of his mates go "Ehww nasttyy!! Dubstep is soo sick!" and the emo kid replies: "Yeahh innit! Especially this tune, you know, Korn made Skrillex big, if it wasn't for Korn, Skrillex never would've been this awesome and famous!"
At this point I was already trying to hold myself from standing up and telling this little tnuc that he should shut the fuck up because he clearly knows fuck all about Dubstep. Afterall, he's wearing a fucking Slipknot tee.
But then some other wanker suddenly puts on Rebecca Black - Friday and tells the emo that Dubstep is fucking shit and that Friday is way better than his "Dubstep".
This somewhat made me laugh because Friday is indeed better than any Skrillex track, but the fact that he says he hates Dubstep because he doesn't like Skrillex is what's driving me mad.
I would love to tell them what proper Dubstep is and let them listen to some big tunes, but I know that it's just no use.
Anyway, just a quick description of what the majority of the scene is like right now...
Skrillex, Korn, anyone else of you absolute fuckers, I hope you are well fucking ashamed.

I've always been part of the underground oldschool death and black metal scene, though. Entombed, Carcass, Municipal Waste, Bongzilla, 1349, Mayhem, Nile, Opeth, etc. Can I be allowed to listen to Skrillex?vishes wrote:Fucking christ...

getting really tired of people whining about other's tastes in music... who cares what people listen to or think about dubstep? it's something different for everyone and that's a good thing

Yeah, I agree. Real glad that I'm nearly done with my study.
And usually I just put on my headphones whenever I hear those kids talk shit like that so that I can ignore them peacefully.
