Kmag Presents... This Way Up Artist Agency

Venue: Cafe 1001, Dray Walk (off Brick Lane), London, United Kingdom
Time: 7PM - 12AM.
Date: Thursday 2nd of June 2011.

KMAG have been promoting events at London's Cafe 1001 for over five years now and in that time the venue has become one of the best free venues in London.

Our regular BarKnowledge night on the fourth Friday of every month has become so popular that we've decided to start another event at Cafe 1001. The new night will be on the first Thursday of every month and is called Kmag Presents. Like our BarKnowledge event, it runs from 7pm to midnight and entry is totally free.

The event will feature line-ups from some of the best record labels and DJ agencies around and for our launch night on May 5th we present drum & bass / dubstep agency This Way Up with Cluekid, J:Kenzo, Midnight Games, Cern, Insideinfo & Dose.

Cluekid label owner of Bullfrogs records, well known for his jungle influenced dubstep and unique and expert production, Skream also signed Cluekids material to his Disfigured Dubs imprint.
An amazing DJ behind the decks expect to hear fresh tracks and dubplates cut especially for the night.

J:Kenzo is the man of the moment, with releases on the mighty Dub Police, J:Kenzo has also recently released on the seminal Tempa Record and Argon records.
J:Kenzo is also starting a new bi weekly show on 1Xtra and straight off the back of featuring on Rinse FM. J:Kenzo takes pride with his DJ sets which he is ever evolving and are built for the dance floor. Expect to hear Sub Heavy Dubstep with echoes of jungle, dancehall and house.

Really enjoyed j kenzo and who ever was before. But couldn't stick the drum and bass. Got too much after the first set.

Had a good time overall.

Unfortuantely the decks wouldn't take the CD's I burned for the night, so had to play what ever else I had available in my bag :lol: :lol:
