FEEDBACK on my first track?? I'd be happy to check yours out
New to the forum. (This is my first post.) Was just hoping I could get some feedback on my first track on a forum where it might be appreciated. If you have something you'd like some feedback on just let me know, I'd be more than happy to give my opinion in return for yours.

I was going for something with a hip-hop feel with a bit of dubstep flare. Hipstep? Eventually I may add some lyrics to it or something also. I realize it's not exactly traditional dubstep style/tempo, so please don't just tell me how I don't know what "true" dubstep is. But anyways, hope a few of you take the time to listen. Any feedback, positive or negative, is appreciated. I'm pretty new to production (only had ableton for a few weeks) so I still have quite a bit to learn.

its good but it needs some mastering and more variations
and the vocal is not proper sync'd to the beat

Thanks man. The vocal was a really hard sample to chop up and I haven't really got the hang of everything on Ableton yet, but I'll definitely work on it. Any tips on mastering? This is all still pretty new to me haha. Listened to your stuff by the way, I like your style. My shit is also in 128 lol.

Yep, it needs polish and as previously stated, more sync on the vox. Not a bad tune, so keep at it!

Sounds good, it'd be cool if you had a defined drop though, and as you said lyrics would solve the problem of repetitiveness. For mastering stuff, I would search for stuff on this forum, tons of threads with good tid bits of information.

As I'm sure you have already been told, your stuff is great man. Don't have any complaints about it. The only thing I could say is the intros are a bit long. But I think that's more about opinion. So ya, good shit.

Thanks for the feedback man. And I actually like the way hipstep sounds better... haha.

Sweet tune man. Very good production values for a first track! I like the idea you have here. A little rapping over this could go a long way! I've had ableton for a few months now and still learning new tricks every day.
Good work man, I'm gonna follow you on sc to hear what you come up with next!
I just made my first remix and I'd like to hear what you think if you get a chance.

Pretty sick for a first track - I really like that lead. Samples are pretty cool too, all around awesome production value for a first go
