Work went by this morning with minimal effort.

Day off now. Grandad's 70 today. So party time on a garden vibe later.

Maybe pop down Ikea in a bit. Affordble scandanavian fun.

Housemate is out until tomorrow evening, GF is at work until tomorrow morning, so the day is mine and mine alone. Have spent it watching X-Men, playing video games, dicking around on FL and sleeping 8)

Went for a 4km run first thing this morning, GF is on her way over with the sunday paper, got a healthy fry up planned for when she gets here (turkey bacon, low fat sausages, reduced salt/sugar beans etc), and generally feeling happy about the fact that it's Sunday, I've got all my washing & grocery shopping done and the day is pretty much my own 8)

Last night sleeping on the couch tonight, moving into my flat tomorrow. Hurrah! 2 months of living out of a suitcase has been frustrating.

I have been raving for 4 days straight at Distortion Festival.. and now I have finally gotten some sleep!
Saw Ben UFO and Jack Sparrow yesterday which was nice.

Oh and last friday I woke up to an email telling me that I had won the ResidentAdvisor Outlook competition!!! :corndance: :corndance: :corndance: :corndance: :corndance: :corndance: :corndance: :corndance: :corndance: :corndance: :corndance: :corndance: :corndance: :corndance: :corndance: :corndance: :corndance: :corndance:

party in the park yesterday was nuts, was drinking all day just chilling outside of the dub tent up until about 6, then the next DJ came on and absoloutely killed it. pushed my way right to the front and then 2 minutes later Blawan - Getting me down came on, first time ive heard it being played out and the sound system in that tent was amazing. some serious skanking going down in there.
after another hour of house/funky/garage they upped the tempo and started with all the niche/bassline and all that, then the rudeboys turned up and that tent nearly emptied

so after that we headed up to a smaller tent further up the field, and this is where everything just became a blur, i can barely walk straight at this point

we got in there and me and this bird was stood inside of a hula hoop on the floor, we were just joking around pushing eachother out of it and messing around and all that and then we got chatting to this guy jokingly offered him out on a hula hoop competition
so we had a go, then he had a go, then someone else had a go...
and then 30 minutes later theres a massive circle gathering around the centre of the tent where we're stood and the whole tent is now involved in this hula hoop dance, all whilst everyone is clapping along, cheering and just drinking and dancing to the deep house the DJ was playing. every man, woman and child got involved in it, it was so crazy...i havent seen so many people come together like that before, nobody had a care in the world

was seriously such an amazing atmosphere to it all, everyone was hammered, a constant smell of weed in the air, mixed with the smell of outdoors and every single person dancing along to deep house, circled around this hula hoop dance in the middle that me and this bird somehow managed to unintentionally start

one of those memories that will stick with me im sure

that explanation of it didnt really do it much justice though
