Have you tried rendering as a wav then converting to an MP3?

It should be saved. FL 10 has auto save, unless you have disabled it?

If you have a bit of a silent run-off at the end of your track this isnt really a problem, happens to me occasionally ever since I left 7 behind... Just always leave a silent runoff at the end of your tracks, and if it freezes at 100% you can just hit 'abort'... The file will still be written on your hd wherever you told it too, and itll be totally playable...
If you dont have a run off at the end though, itll probably cut the last half a second or so off your track doing that. Sometimes not though, 100% can be the 'verifying' stage of the LAME rendering process.

File > Revert To Last Back Up.
FL 10 saves back ups automatically every few mins. It's pretty sweet.

Always save regardless of auto save.
I have a ide drive and a sata drive connected to my pc.
The ide turns itself off after a period, when the drive is accessed it tends to have to turn on and then index.
If I don`t save regularly by just crtl + s, it will crash even if I try to save as.
It`s a pain but I have learnt the hard way.
save save save save

If it's not frozen just abort the rendering and save it. You can abort the rendering process at any time and it won't do anything to the actual project.

Used to happen with me in 8 for a while (randomly stopped happening).
Just abort and it should have rendered - you may have loads of silence though.

meh, dont know why but ive never had the urge to save as, or to go back to previous versions of a track, if i didnt like something down the road i would just take it out, i always keep my original things intact from the begining, if i do destructive editing ill always have the original version of whatever. and the new/resampled version

I realize this thread is old now, but I wanted to contribute my solution to the problem where the rendering window is stuck at 100% and you can't return to the main window to save your file (forcing you to lose work.) You do NOT have to lose your work in this scenario!
The solution: change the windows desktop resolution (bump it down a tick), after you apply this change the main FL window is forced to the "top" at least to the extent that ctrl-S works. You still can't click anything in the main window, but your file has been saved (you'll see the notification of this operation in the little status bar on the main FL window) and you can kill the open FL process, then re-launch and open your file.
This was an amazing feat of hackery - I spent hours with the locked up application, trying everything to avoid losing my work. If you care to see what was so important I HAD TO SAVE IT, the track I is called "Deutsche" and you can listen on reverbnation.com /readysetawesome
FYI, My Software Version: FL studio 8

This is a really neat trick. I have learned through extremely painful loses to save before rendering, in any application.

Not sure about FL but if you open Taskman and right click the process, you can force it to the top that way as well. Not sure if it will help in that situation though, but worth a try. There's more options for manipulating hidden windows in the free software PrcView.
