Re: The most ridiculous comments regarding music production
Re: The most ridiculous comments thread... (yeah, its back)
i noticed the misspelling, but in the spirit of the thing i thought it was be appropriate to just go with it.wub wrote:Johnst wrote:never apologize when using a word like padanticDepone wrote:Sorry to get padantic..

Re: The most ridiculous comments thread... (yeah, its back)
this angers me really. I was at guitar center with a friend of mine looking around at what they have. We were looking at monitors and some crap-bag who works there tried to convince me to buy certain monitors because they have "full stereo range", can "let you hear 100% left and 100% right panning", etc. which is total crap because what kind of monitors CAN'T do that?! And then he goes as far as saying that if I don't buy these specific monitors, then I will never sell any tracks...what a total douche, seriously!
Re: The most ridiculous comments thread
It's called commission
Some people really need the extra cash I guess
Sometimes I go down to the music store down the street and talk oblivious parents and 12 year olds out of buying the crap the salespeople convinced them they needed.

15 - fail
treating you like a 15 year old - win
just kidding

Re: The most ridiculous comments thread
he actually probs couldn't try harder, because some bullshit about panning was about all he had in him as per tech-talk. Lets be serious, working at music store is NOT cool. majority are basically losers who couldn't use the equipment well enough to do anything, so now they stock shelves, break up cardboard, and sell gear just so they can pretend they're music professionals. They know fuck all about pro audio, i had a guy insisting he knew, but couldn't understand me when i asked him for balanced TRS cables. had no idea about mono vs stereo, balanced/unbalanced

^^^ lol GC fail
another ridiculous comment was on the last day of the school year, a kid in PE came up to me and told me I have a "sh**ty taste in music" and then told me that "dubstep is the easiest genre to make"
...coming from the same kid who still wears heely's in highschool, its just kinda funny

I'm surprised they can even think, considering what they have to listen to all day.-[2]DAY_- wrote:he actually probs couldn't try harder, because some bullshit about panning was about all he had in him as per tech-talk. heh yeah i've seen those. Feel bad for the guys, its just that anyone who is actually helpful is good enough to work somewhere else, like small repair shops and techy geeky 3rd party distributors. The little mom-n pop shops are full of tech geniuses who started out tinkering with amps and can now fix pretty near anything u can throw at them
