A few weeks ago I attended Beyond Wonderland, head banging in the front to Datsik’s set, when it hit me.
Venice Beach needs dubstep. Not just dubstep, but electronic music in general, all genres.
Looking for local talent (DJs/producers) around Venice beach and all of LA who would like to be apart in planning, and creating first electronic monthly in Venice Beach.
Also looking for like mindinded individuals to invest and bring ideas to the table.
Those of you interested, Please let me know. Any advice will help as well.
SERIOUS Replies only!
I am nothing more then a music fan with many ideas, I need the gifted talent of you Djs. I cannot call myself a Dogtown local, however I do call it my second home, Every Holiday and every summer I stayed in venice beach. I love everything Venice Beach is. I now live in Venice.
Venice Beach revolutionized skateboarding, and has birthed many bands that we now bump on a daily basis. So why not add one more thing.
It all starts with an idea, I believe that I have something here, and with the help of you talented Djs and just fans of music who want to help can make this dream a reality.

Re: Attention Venice Beach Djs
Are you looking for some kind of capitol/investors to fund or initiate your idea?
Or just DJs who are willing to play?
BTW I am from Redondo Beach, I'm just south of you.

I'm going to ignore your SN and assume you're serious.
A few things you may want to include before making it appear as though you are making something happen are:
1: What is your venue?
2. Accompanying audio system?
3.What do you offer residence/compensation?
4.What kind of crowds/numbers are you expecting?
5. Where can you be contacted?
I've been toying with mixing/djing, so if I like what I see I might consider sending out a recording of a set I'll put together--this may take a while. (But don't expect mindless wobble, as your name alludes to.)

I agree with 'Intended Malice'.
Not to sound like I'm against what you said, but it makes it sound more convincing if you mention something about the sound system and compensation etc.
I'm a dubstep and electro producer as well as a DJ. I use a Numark NS7FX and have a huge collection of grimy (the good kind) and "Good" dubstep for parties.
If you could provide your contact info we could talk more about it and make it happen. I totally believe that you can make this happen. Good Luck.
