YOI bass hatred thread

Post by Big Freq » Wed Jun 08, 2011 9:06 am

I would like to bring awareness to the douchebaggery that is YOI bass... :x

If you feel the same please post in this thread.

It seems like every other person in "Dubs and Tunes" has watched the same youtube tutorial video and incorporated this into their tunes. :u:

I understand it can be used tastefully... but its gotten ridiculous.

Why can't people be obsessed with 'dungeon" bass instead?

inb4: "dont listen to it", "who are you to criticize others productions", "it sounds cool", "your productions suck" ;-)

in b4 this turns into waste thread... its inevitable...

i know they will... hell i hate this sound, but an arguement will ensue... and this thread will almost certainly meet the same fate as many other hatred threads- lockage. this kind of thing always goes down the same, pointless avenue. there are 1974184127340 examples scattered around this forum.

My love for DnB had been on a downward trend for a while when this Yoi noise started being used a lot. It was the final straw that sent me 100% in Dubsteps direction. THEN Dubstep started using it. I was straight :u:
It can be used tastefully but i've only ever seen this once (in a DnB tune). It's an annoying and comical noise that can turn an otherwise decent tune into trash.

All these brosteppers love to talk about the evolution of 'the sound'..... well move the fuck on from Yoi then. It's been about for like three years at least.

Yeah, inb4 inevitable lock-age.

Nope. Sadly not. Not in the next few years that is.

I'm sure this shit will die out in a couple of years though, when your fellow american student kids have grown up and moved on to a more mature sound.

IMO, you're not too far off the mark. Doctor P came from DnB under the moniker Picto and was part of Slumdogz.

His crossover is where the infection started.

I think it's just a rant. OP wanted to let off steam and be reinforced in his tastes. Both of these have been achieved. Do you see now?

So that justifies making a new thread instead of searching and posting in the 1000's of similar pointless threads about this already.
He must be quite pleased with his achievement then. Now the world can start turning again.

No, it doesn't justify it. But it's done now.
