its just a very sloooooow process of tunes getting recognition
true there is a myriad of stuff there.

things are recognized fairly quickly in this community. You have not even been on here a year yet parson and you are getting some wax with your name on it.
Who are you? You must be some one we know. You seem pretty well imformed. -q-

It's weird that we've got to this point (again) in a thread which started off with someone putting together a compilation of tunes that they see as pushing the sound forward.

FWIW, I think it's bitching and moaning on forums that really doesn't help. I wouldn't mind seeing more posting from people supporting the producers who they think are breaking new ground (and the DJs who play those producers, the clubs that book the DJs that play those producers and so on) and helping them get noticed.

but i agree. the thread has gone a bit durp. i think trying to put a point across can make you seem abit aggressive at times when somone cant hear a tone of voice or see an expression.

:W:

same here. i certainly have no issues with people wanting to break out and do new things, but the genre seems wide open and healthy to me right now. there are so many influences coming in, and that keeps things varied. plus, get creative and work tunes from other genres in and your sets will always be fresh.

just my three cents. :)

And this is why I think people don't like it when others openly criticise the music, because there are a load of different styles and sounds now that make the criticism pointless.

Also, it shouldn't take the recognition of labels for up-and-comers to "up their game".
