Best PAID Synths For Dubstep?

Post by DDoSix » Sat Jun 11, 2011 7:21 am

Now everybody loves an all, but you usually get what you pay for. So I am wondering what are some good paid synth's for dubstep production? I already have massive (which is AMAZING) but I want to try out some new products to see if they have their own unique features. I would love to know. Thanks guys!

EVERY synth works for dubstep. It's just a synth.

Anyway, try FM8. It's additive synthesis as opposed to the subtractive synthesis of Massive. So that should open up your possibilities the most.

bro you forget to say what FM8 specializes in.
FM Synthesis: best kind there is imo

btw I would pick Image-Lines Sytrus over FM8 any day.
...in my opinion

theres no "formula" to make dubstep bass.
you want noisia neruofunk basses? check out the "wicked" wavetable
you want dirty yoi's? check out the "modern talking" wavetable
you want screechy funtcase noises? check out the "math" or "crude" wavetables

there, now you are a rich dubstep producer.
and as always dont forget your bitcrusher on the master and CRANK it.

I know that....... im talking about actually putting the sound together and speeding it up, slowing it down, glitching it, making a drop, etc etc etc. Putting the actual track together :)

Look around kvraudio.com they have a lit of freeware and paid software with demos. You can probably find a lot of stuff that you are looking for there.

omnisphere is amazing. there is a 40 gb preset library which should teach you most of the configurations by looking at how they are made
