http://www.dorsetecho.co.uk/news/localn ... r_cookies/
A group of OAPs were left with a nasty taste in their mouths after mistaking packs of soil for cookies.
The residents of sheltered accommodation flats in Weymouth told of their horror after choking on mouthfuls of grit after mistaking a branded butter's promotional pack of soil and seeds for cookies.
This actually made the news. All it did was make me laugh A LOT. Probably the best part about it is the terrible journalism trying to fob this off as something other than basically a piss take if OAP's. I'm sure they feel bad enough having eaten a packet of cookie shaped mud lumps and don't need their photos paraded for people to laugh at, people like me, and you, and all the people i sent it to, all 2 of my friends.
“These are old people and you can see why they did it”
nope, i still can't

Surely once you open the pack and see it spilling all over the floor you would realise you didn't have a pack of cookies, OAP or not...

How do they find these kind of stories?
Do they go looking for them or did the OAPs go to them with the story?
I don't know which is worse.

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.
