Yeah.... haven't been overly impressed with grime's output of late.

It's stuck in a dead end.... MC'ing is getting better but the productions are awful.

right r u man, but don't forget about yourself, I think you are the only producer who can combine the advantages of both styles creating "more than grime"(c) ya know. Your album sounds like that and it's wicked.

Personally don't want to loose "grimey" Plastician ;) So come on man we need bangers like intensive snare cause it sounds raw and deep at the same time.

I guess ya know what I mean.

and yeah stable (means forever hehe) link for this mix: http://dubstep.com.ua/download/Plastician_May_2007.mp3

Top man for hosting that!!

I will never lose my grimy edge - i love that side of the music far too much!!

As soon as the pc is back up and running there will be more bassy dubby grime stuff in the works.

respect for that!

The initial origin of both genres were the same, it makes sense that Dubstep could adopt productions with MCs and/or vocals, and no calling it Grimestep will not help matters :) Dnb is Dnb with or without vocals, mcs etc. the sub splintering of the genres is what kills it in the end.
I'd definitely like to hear more tunes that are incorporate some of the ealiest tunes bounciness of UKG. It tends to have taken on a strictly half step atmospheric heavy dub vibe. cool just the same but then again tunes from goldspot are missed. - I dug up Joe Nice's "forces of nature" mix just to hear how stark the contrast a couple of years of production has made. What an interesting transition.
