Abortion Thread. KEEP IT CIVIL!

Personally, I don't think I could go through with an abortion. I'd have the child, then give it up for adoption. I do think women have the right to choose though; it's her body. And there would be a whole load of complications if you ban abortion. However, abortion is a quite mentally scarring process. My friend used to counsel women who had gone through abortion, and said it was absolutely awful. A lot of the women had named their child and would say '_____ would have been _____ years old now'. And the women who's abortion meant that they couldn't have kids in the future were really fucked up.

they are really really traumatic, but in the end most women who I know had them were glad they did, no matter how hard it was and still is for them in most cases.

Since that's out of the question, we have to talk about the life of a human individual. Which begs the question: what constitutes a human individual? I don't think a heartless, brainless, arguably soulless, mass of cells is comparable to a person nor do I think it has more of a right to live than a dolphin or ape that has the intellectual capacity of a child.

It's irrelevant to your first "point".

My frist point is that both sperm and eggs are alive before conception and your argument is based off the concept of life, without explicitly stating that we're talking about human life. Since neither of us have any regard for the lives of sperm and eggs, I fail to see why this changes the nanosecond a sperm gets inside of an egg.

Anyone who denys christ is an antichrist. I'm an antichrist, many people on this forum are 'antichrists'. The one who rises to power, spoken of in your religious texts, is one of many but rises to prominence. He/she is a human like every other antichrist. Not some magical unicorn riding figure. Simply a human, denier of christ, who gains world power.
