Re: female producer / ambient dubstep-garage
The synth elements are way too loud within the mix, to the point where you can barely hear the drums coming through (esp. around the 2m30s mark). Overall, there are some really good elements in this tune, but the mixdown lets it down a bit. It sounds like you've got quite a lot of the tune brickwalled, and as such the drums are barely noticeable until around 3m10s when the skittish beat comes in. Percussion is very nicely programmed though.
This tune shows a LOT of promise, very impressive stuff. Add me on Soundcloud, I'd be interested in hearing a version of this should you get around to doing an alternative mixdown - http://www.soundcloud.com/worldwidewub

Like previously said, the drums are way too low in the mix. I think the reverb might be overkill on the drums also. one thing to make it sound instantly better would be drum buss +2-3db and take the aux output for the reverb down till you don't hear it, and then bring it up just a bit more
. And by a bit I mean 2db's tops.
Oh yeah, same goes for the vocals. You might want to remix the vocals in terms of reverb, eq and compression.

Yeah apart from the excessive reverb and levels, there is definitely a really nice track in there

Nice feel. Really liking the vibe. But as mentioned, tame the levels. One trick I learned is mix kicks first, then bass, then snare and percussion, and work each element in with the drums. Especially with ambient type stuff, the drums and bass form the backbone of the track.
Re: female producer / ambient dubstep-garage
i'm a female and i wish you wouldn't put that in the title to attract attention... why not just say. BOOBS. more effective and straight to the point.

Holy shit I came running in here expecting there was breasts ... but all i find is too much reverb. (lol) Just messing with you, theres a good track under that massive pile of reverb, I like the vibe and most of what I can make out of your sounds. Just repost with little to no reverb and we can all give you better tips on where to go with it. (BTW Are you producing with headphones or very small computer speakers?)
