Before I send this off to mastering...

Post by Neoteny » Sat Jun 18, 2011 3:34 am

Hey everyone,

I'm new on the forums, but not to dubstep or production in general,

Just wanted to know what you gents think of this, before I shoot it off to mastering, and the label heads :D

I got permission from High Rankin to use that 'Drop It' sample, and he said to shoot him a copy when It's done, haha.

Soundcloud

I think I made the snare a tad too loud ;___;

i would suggest trimming the wetness of the delay on the vocals, sounds a bit over saturated. main synths could do with a bit of eqing and maybe turned down a fraction as well, just to let the vocals push to the front a bit :) also some of the top end from the hats could go, bit too splashly.

i'm big on subtractive eqing though so i might just be being stingy but i think temperance with the buttons ends up with a better mixdown. cool tune though :4:
