I dont understand how america would be seriously affected considering the amount of people that own firearms over there. England on the other hand would be fucked, even if the army did survive i doubt they'd stick around long enough to do much good, i know id be gone the first chance i got. I think id do pretty well if it did happen, after all ive watched so many zombie films and id be kitted out in one of those bomb disposal suits, no zombie could bite through that.

First thing I would do would be to research and construct a lightweight bite/scratch/zombie wound impenetrable full body armour.

Second would be to implement some close quarter combat Baraka/Wolverine style wrist blades as guns are scarce in the UK.



Thirdly would be to secure a decent safe-house with supplies, and dig a reasonable deep trench around it (can zombies climb).

Fourthly, hunt zombies and reclaim land by day, play minecraft at night.

I live in a village, I'm fucked. All we have is 2 small convenience stores, 2 pubs, a hairdressers, a chemist and a post office. Even combined they couldn't store the population. The school has a glass wall which I'm sure the zombies could overcome in time so that's a pointless place to hide. The population is probably 60% OAPs to 40% Under-60s so theres a low chance of survival for them thus increasing the number of the zombie hoard.

I'm leaning towards the idea that if I survived long enough, I would see the greed and selfishness of human nature, I would just give up, get bitten and get infected, making it my mission to infect my "loyal" villagers and generally fuck up their shit.

Also, those who plan on simply escaping, have you not considered the amount of zombies that will get in your way as you approach the dock/whatever? I mean, you could simply get fucked in the back and that's it.

Anyhow, the reasoning behind it in the movies is that a zombie "rises" by the cerebellum/brain stem regaining some activity, which means that you're able to kill off that activity with blunt force trauma to the head, or by damaging the cerebellum and/or brain stem. So I'm not sure what's your issue with that. Do they move around by magic in your "realistic representation of logic"?
