I can see it being terrifying for a kid in the 90's. It's OK Noam, I don't think any less of you.

Argento films are great, seen the band that did most of the soundtracks, Goblin, recently. Totally acethe acid never lies wrote:I recently discovered Dario Argento - granddaddy of b movie horror, massive influence on John Carpenter et al and even produced Oscar Romero's Dawn of the Dead.

Even the soundtracks are dope.

Those Argento films have wonderful cover art.
Lulz indeed. Is any of the newer Larry Clark stuff worth watching?

Quality. Although sometimes when the plot just turns dark and they try to keep it moving along the pace seems a bit awkward.

I check this thread from time to time to get some movie ideas but all I get is
films that are so bad.. they are good. Never feel like I'm missing out with that kind of
thing.

watched source code the other night, was thoroughly impressed. Love abit of Jake Gyllenhaal and moon was brilliant so Duncan Jones is shaping up to be quite the badman filmmaker.

Also watched Source Code the other night. Was a nice idea for a film but, imo, was let down by the implausible ending. I don't regret watching it though and i can be a bit of a picky bastard when it comes to endings like that.

Couldn't quite get into it a first but once the story got going was hooked. Clever idea and well executed. But disappointed Jennifer Connelly didn't get her muff out

One thing about that film I noticed upon watching it again recently, is that the score is for the entirety of the film, I didn't notice any gaps.knell wrote:

Watched Event Horizon the order day.

What a mess.
Had heard good things and the trailer freaked me out, so maybe I had too high expectations.
Hopefully watch Ghandi soon.

Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
yeah it certainly was prominent, and had that uber-hollywood epic orchestral theme going on. if you put yourself in a 90's mindset and ignore the minor plot holes, the film is amazing. that fight at the end is amazingly cheesy.Pedro Sánchez wrote:One thing about that film I noticed upon watching it again recently, is that the score is for the entirety of the film, I didn't notice any gaps.knell wrote:

It's no Moon but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I actually didn't mind the end (someone else in the thread pointed out that they hated the end and gave the film lower marks for it)
