Reaktor, The Mouth and The Finger
Anyone using any of these in their Dubstep productions? Especially Reaktor ... because it just sounds like it can produce some evil!
I just watched the dude (Time Exile) on the The Finger videos and his setup is pretty sick and the sounds coming out of it were dirty.
I'd love to get some of the control surfaces he is using, anyone seen it?
WTF IS THIS?!
TIIIIIM! I've found some new toys.

Re: Reaktor, The Mouth and The Finger
Yea i use them both there great, tims a geniuse.
His rig is his own set up and may (i have not heard any news on this) be released in the future.. its mainly all midi controllers going to a reaktor (i think patch) ,, rather then having the individual .ENS's (finger mouth) seperatly they are all together.
He did a cool live internet gig where you could send in via soundcloud your own clips and he would drop them in his mix.
Finger is amazing for adding cool effects , and the mouth really can make a song out of any sound.
i used it heavily on the Djaze-temptation remix track.. but never finished it as when i bounced it down it came out all misaligned ><
btw you need reaktor to run either the mouth or the finger, there is a free reaktor player on the N.I website now but it wont allow you to edit the ensamble (or save snapshots ive heard either) also the mouths update allows the user to change synth parameters which wasnt available in version 1
if you do get reaktor (it really is worth the price plus come in the Komplete bundle) (bit cpu intesive) then there is a whole world of user made ensembles to try, theres a thread on here about them. Thru it i found Spawn whith presets made by dsfs Depone!

Re: Reaktor, The Mouth and The Finger
I will proberly get this wrong but... its a vocoder that take in pitch information as well. It has a mixer window for Synth Bass Vocoder and Efx ,. So you could have say a vocal go in and then only have the bass synth come out (the bass synth is a simple sine affair) , you can also output as midi notes (like melodyne) but its not very accurate (or at least i dont find it to be too accurate) , it has a beat mode so you can put beats into it and get some effected roboy or vocodery style drums. Best of all is when you plug in a mic and make nosies as its like controlling your synth with your voice or beatbox skills =) hope that helps/Moody Strings wrote:Saw an AD for the mouth a few days.
