Got some tunes to put out - what next? Advice please!

Post by d-nile » Sat May 12, 2007 1:27 pm

I am pretty much ready to put some tracks out - but beyond pressing it up and getting a distro deal (which I have experience of through my hip hop stuff) I could do with some advice.

Before I get anything pressed up I reckon I should try and get some sort of buzz about the tracks - I am gonna do a myspace and put some tracks on there - but I am hoping some of you lot can give me some advice on who to send mp3s/wavs to - needs to be people who are enthusiatic about pushing new material from new labels/producers.

So who's got a decent radio show/writes reviews/plays out every week?

I haven't decided which tracks to put out yet - but when I do I will post some on here.

Sorry if anyone thinks this is a waste post - but I am a bit cut off from the scene and am a little baffled about the next step!

I work with three different radio stations and play out quite a bit. Am always interested in hearing new work from talented folks. PM or get me on AIM = OnThaCreep00 if you'd like to share some work.

Lots of other cats on this board DJ tons. Nearly everyone is friendly and will provide feedback. Hang out and get to know a few folks...
