This. Nothing fucks me off more than grumpy middle aged people bitching about how young people don't know shit about anything.

You'd have to be an idiot to think drunk driving is okay, but how many of you have thought "nah Im okay to drive", and driven home after being at the pub?

None of you are perfect but alot of you seem to think you are.

Mans dead ffs.

nice try dickhead, i'm 27. i'm sorry but you won't understand until youre older just how little you know, and how lucky you are to survive at all. i know for a fact that i don't know shit even now. don't assume that you have it all figured out because you never do. when you're a little bit older you'll be like ":holy shit, all these kids think they know everything."

what i was LOLing at is everyone all of a sudden becomes an expert on shit when something like this happens, and they decide it;s the time to make these grandiose statements about life and death and sympathy. somebody died, how about you just shut the fuck up ?

I'm not 16 just btw.
Pretty sure I didn't assume I knew everything when I was though, and I don't now.
As for "all", smart kids know they don't know everything. derp.

both sides of the argument can be summed up with these quotes.... can the topic be dropped now?

I dunno about Mr R Dunn,
but I would probably enjoy knowing that my death
caused internet bickering
about whether I was a fuckwit or fun guy.
(answer: both)

Ryan Dunn and his friend were drunk. They got in a car and crashed. They died.

None of you know Ryan Dunn, none of you know his friend. None of you know how much they drank, who said what or who did what, for all you know his friend could have yanked the wheel or egged him on, so shut the fuck up.

This thread has turned to waste, the man deserves respect.

different scale mate

everyone knows just how dangerous driving drunk could be

you're not just responsible for your own life, you're responsible for the safety of others, you wouldn't compare operating a crane with building a sand castle

if you drive drunk you stand more chance of killing innocent people, if you get fat and die you might give someone neck ache when they carry your coffin but they aint gona catch fat and keel over are they...
yeah, I know its not really the same scale...but its not far from say- someone doing something like mountain climbing or sailing and dying and rescuers end up dying too, or skydiving and parachute failing so you fall on a load of people and kill them, or dying from smoking and having passed on 2nd hand smoke...or whatever ridiculous other things. Point being, people do stupid shit and endanger others, people aren't perfect, they still deserve respect in death.

his mate didn't have to get in the car, he didn't have to get really drunk, he didn't have to let Dunn drive, he didn't have to not stop it. It sucks more for the other guys family ye, but you're treating it like this guy didn't know Dunn and was just strolling innocently on a quiet road before some drunk came round the corner and ran him down. It's not the same

and what if dunn would have hit a kid eh?
drink drivings fucking wrong, no matter how you try and justify it.
he was rich enough to get a fucking taxi. he still gets no respect from me, when you know someone whos been killed by one of these idiots, and leaves behind a young family to fend for themselves, youll know where im coming from.
im over this, i just cant believe people think hes a legend.

i might have got the wrong end of the stick here, i assume when you say 'someone' you mean Dunn's mate...? My comments about all this repect going to his mate and not him, it's both or none imo
