Hey I've been trying to re create this synth as well but having no luck. Any tips for making it in Ableton/Massive?

Sidechain is the answer. I asked this question like 2 months ago and since then i've figured it out

layer a cut-off saw wave slightly distorted with a short sustain and attack with 2 pads one with low end cut off and one with high end cut off
then layer this with some white noise to give it some high end to kick through the mix and then sidechain it and bangngngngngn

nah im not. a little tut would be nice though. even if the sound is not spot on i just would like to see how you layer the sounds and get them all side chained and sounding good.

Theres got to be a fuckload of side chain compression going on with the kicks too right? Elevate is probs my fave song atm

His strings are awesome as well...

not neccasarily on the kicks, elevate is just extremly compressed in general, but yeah I kind of like it.. ill try do something later when I get back
