Liquid Stranger's 'Arcane Terrain'

Post by Redderious » Fri Jun 24, 2011 4:45 pm

Happy friday the office steppers!

For those of you who are familiar with liquid stranger, you know his last album 'Mechanoid Meltdown' by Rottun was pretty much exactly what the name discribes. Murder Robots and Mid - Range. Lately iv'e really been growing tired of the this kind of music, so yesterday when i heard that the Bombaclaad Star made Beatport #1 in the Reggae/Dub section i wasn't sure if this was going to be a purchase. But! When i listend to it i was just shocked! he made such a change from his last album and it was amazing!!! I would't consider it Reggae Dub, except for a few tracks, thought. This as far as im conserned is straight dubstep.

So what do you all have to think about this?

I've tried talking to others on facebook about this, but it is facebook. But people's comments are so damn retarded, having conversations is *literally* impossible. If you haven't heard of it i strongly suggest you preview a few songs and see the huge change.

He's been making all sorts of different music for years just under different aliases. Now, he releases everything as Liquid Stranger. Over the past few years he's only been releasing stuff on Rottun (dancefloor robo-step kinda stuff) and Interchill (more experimental, minimal music).

I'm just starting to get into more experimental electronic stuff like Amon Tobin and Arcane Terrain is a good blend of that and more beat-based stuff so I really like it.

i didn't know that, i felt as if he was a fairly unheard of producer. What were some other titles he gave himself with interchill? I'm trying to check some of this stuff out.

With Interchill he was already Liquid Stranger as far as I know. He's released like 3 or 4 albums with them and 2 with Rottun, I think. Check his Wikipedia page if you want to know more details.

this is all great news! :D I didn't have a clue about this side of Liquid Stranger! I was pretty much done with his music then arcane terrain bumped him way back up on my favorite producers list :W:

Now that im hearing this is how he's been im going to have to start finding more tracks, preferably like the ones in Mr. Budsteqs post :U:
