A couple days ago I played my friend some Jack sparrow and Olie Bassweight.
Then he told me it wasn't dubstep cause it wasn't "hard" enough.

The genre's gone in so many directions... It's just a word, you don't have to use it. Classic dubstep to me is that rough minimal sound like old skream, loefah, coki, etc.
