whilst grime can cover many different influences and styles, sublow is an often more darker and minimal sound than the rest of grime. depending more on low end frequencies with skittering percusion, and using more of an 8-bar formualtion of the bassline and melody. melodies are usually mostly low octave synths with occasional use of high strings. it's garage tempo too.

^^ yeh man pretty spot on. when 'grime' first started progressin there was shitloads of names for different strands of it. my faves still all that musical mob/youngstar 8bar music2000 stuff. proper grime. playstation music.
