That's probably my least favorite thing about live! The mini usb cable that my keyboard is hooked up with is really shitty too so it always falls out :u:

Use the configure button on the device title bar, then you can click the rate on massive and it will be added to the device box and should appear in the automation parameter list. MOD5-DEN i think it's called.
then if you right click that control and there's a see modulation option that will take you to the clip automation for that control.

A quick question becasue i dont want to make a new thread.

I rendered all the channels down this morning to re open them in a new project to do a mix down.
i set the tempo in the right place & put the audio files back in
but some the channels are being stretched into odd values

E.g
tempo of the track was 135 bpm
i added one of the audio files to the project it says its 74.5 and stretched it to that .
I tried put it back to 135 but is not giving the exact tempo (135.3)
some are stretching too 200bpm and so on

Is there a way to stop the audio files in this project to stop being stretched? :(

Right but I'm trying to use the Ratio (ie. 1/8, 3/16 etc.) I can't seem to find how to do this..

Yeah sorry i meant ratio, the same steps apply though. The two parameters you want to automate are called MOD5-DEN & MOD5-NUM

No matter what I do, I can't get the denominator/numerator option to pop up.

Can you add any other parameters to ableton from massive?

You can do macros. Which Is what you mean. Just assign a macro to what you want on massive then click the one you chose and then go to your ableton track and you can control that marco there.

Yup, every other macro is working. I can even do the rate. But for some reason DEN and NUM aren't coming up. Maybe try updating Massive/Ableton?

Try turning off the "Auto-Warp Long Samples" button in options under the Record - Warp - Launch tab.

Let's say i just recorded a 4 minute midi track with a bunch of automation i recorded along with it. If i'm in the arrangement view is there any way for me to see all the parameters that i have automated underneath the mixer, without having to go through the pull down menu to find all the things that have the red dot next to them?

*edit- right click + 'add lane for each automated envelope'
haha easy :W:

trying the new beta (8.2.4b2) completely fixed my sync issues... its supposed to have sorted ableton as slave, but not master, but works infinitely better than before regardless. Very happy :)

I not theres a new b3 out too, will have to have a look.

cheers

having an issue with my live sessions over the last few days. there is a lag in my playback, so even though I can see the play bar passing over a certain sound/waveform/whatever there is a very slight delay in the playback. I assume its a buffer issue? but if it is this that does not make much sense as i have had bigger/more cpu heavy sessions in the past and it never occurred. This seems to happen on sessions that are not even cpu heavy.

Prob high latency plugins. Im guessing but have you got long fx chains?

I get this all the time with high latency plugs, UAD and Nebula3 particularly, gets to like a bar out. Its shite. Ableton just say that's the way it is... :|
