I don't want to get into some dumb argument so i wont reply to anything about this, BUT I will not have people chat shit about me.

Hi mate,

Hope you're well.

If you remember, which clearly you don't, I did message you over facebook, granted not one of the better ways to reach out to you. However, you bluntly pointed out you didn't like the awards etc. I then left you be..

I never stated on the post that you had been asked to play.. I didn't enquire about a booking due to your negative attitude towards the awards. I stated that on the post. I also stated that I knew OF you not that I knew you personally. I try to stay away from negative influences. Either way, I would hate to make enemies, so please, accept my apologies for any confusion/upset caused but you obviously miss read the statement. :)

Well it looks like everyone was right:

Flux & Doctor P headlining.
Kromestar & Chef dont make the flyer.
Every negative comment/something that doesnt suit the promoters is deleted & they say that everyone is on board even when they're clearly not.
£28 a ticket, Guna make a shed loads of money, no surprise there.

It wouldnt even bother me if it wasn't proclaiming to be the dubstep music awards.

Hi!

Many thanks for stopping by the thread and giving us your feedback.

Firstly, Flux and Doctor P aren't headlining. Pretty much every person on the line-up could be classed as a headliner. No one will be happy whoever is first on the list. There isn't a 'headliner' as such on this event! - We aren't biased.

Secondly, The flyer you see is a pre-flyer and is in no way the proper flyer. The proper flyer (physical flyer) will be out in about 2 weeks and EVERY name features a slot on the flyer, in a clear and visible location. The pre-flyer can't hold many names, unless you wanted to make the names so small you couldn't see them. Again, Flux was the person who was on the list and happened to fall at the top. This isn't our personal opinion of the artists nor the order we'd necessarily put them in.

Finally, some comments have been removed yes. These we're removed due to the fact Dubstep should be about enjoying the music and not hating on what people listen to. It's been a big effort on everyones part to create the awards and to put down someones hard work, purely because some of YOUR favourite artists aren't on the line-up and there are elements you disagree with is, we feel, a little harsh. We're all grown ups after all. - Aren't we?

If people wish to present their negative comments, then we are more than happy to listen and accept them, in some cases try to help resolve those concerns. However, we feel there are better place's than the event wall, such as here for example. :)

We're just trying to celebrate the genre and help spread the genre to new people, all we ask for is your support in doing so. Should you love the music, in the way you proclaim to, then you will see what we're trying to do and that's NOT to con people out of money or their favourite artists. If you believe otherwise then we're in no way forcing you to attend the event, nor have any part in the DMAs. - It is in fact helping the genre develop and grow. This is how life works.. Things evolve, develop and grow.

£30 for the amount of artists on the line-up, along with other surprises at the event, we feel is fair and more than reasonable. It's rare to see 6 headliners for under a tenner.. You're getting a lot for your money and we're already selling tickets which shows people agree to the price.

Have a great weekend and again, thanks for stopping by the thread. We hope you can come along and see the hard work we've put in to the awards.

So, are you condemning EVERY awards ceremony that has occurred in music? If so, why? What's so bad about them! - If not and you're only condemning the DMAs, then surely that is YOUR opinion and it shouldn't be forced upon other people. Let them decide for themselves. If you really don't like it, don't waste your time on it! - Commenting negatively and insulting the people who have spent effort in creating the event and awards is low a attitude to take.

Darkside's comments we're a surprise considering he releases Albums claiming 'This is Dubstep!' and has 'brostep' acts all over it. - If you want to follow what one person has said about the awards then so be it but surely that defeats the object of being open minded. - Or aren't you?

Come on, you already know who's going to win, you own the facebook page and you perfectly saw the comments. Even if there was a "deep" award these bros would make Skrillex win it

Thanks for the patronising reply, but like i said in the patronising message you sent me there is no need for that.
I thought we had a good discussion & you realised that I just disagreed with the name/marketing of the event & nothing else.
If you've forgotten I suggested you just adapted the name to try and get rid of 90% of the negativity, and make it seem less 'gospel.'

I havent posted on the event page, group page, my page/networks or done anything to insult people or force negativity on your event.
How am I forcing my opinion on people?? ha! This is a public forum designed for discussing and SHARING our opinions. Why post this topic if you didnt want it to be honestly discussed?
& i quoted Darkside because it somed up my opinion without the need for repeating a long reply. (Like this)

I think you missed the main part of my comment anyway. I wouldn't care about any of the other 'negative' things people are saying about the event if it wasnt called THE DUBSTEP MUSIC AWARDS and looked like it was 100% representing everyone & everything about dubstep.
dubstepmusicawards wrote: that is YOUR opinion and it shouldn't be forced upon other people. Let them decide for themselves.
this is exactly what I have done here. I have decided for myself, but as you dont agree with what I have decided apparently I am not allowed to say anything??

How will voting work?

If that is the line up then I imagine some of these artists must be the award winners.
So does that mean that artists that chose not to participate are not entitled to or do not deserve these awards.

Seems a bit biased towards those you managed to book.

Voting is open to all, you type the name of who you want to win in the box provided for your vote. We're not being biased and we certainly don't favour anyone over anybody else.

Voting opens on the 31st August and closes 31st October. You can vote by visiting the website.

The artists that are there are simply there to create the event and some may be winners, however, you can't book a line-up with every single last person in.

It would be kinda fun if we all would vote for a very undergroundy or a very bad artist. I know this is not 4chan, but I want to troll that shit.
