Have you heard this? Shits on that tune, and all other 'drumstep' from a great height:

This is unbelievably bad, beastie boys or not
It having beastie boys in it does mean it just happens to also ruins a track.

As a native Nashvillian and someone who's played alongside Wick-It a couple times, hopefully I can shed a little more light on this thread. Dude is very down-to-earth and always throws down fun sets. For my tastes, many of his electronica tracks are too midrangey/cookie-cutter, and the build-ups are almost satirically ridiculous (quite possibly what he was going for); but he's also been putting out at least two or three tracks a month, always gives them out for free, and has built a hell of an online following. I certainly respect the man's work ethic.
I think hip-hop has always been his forte (his Big Boi vs. Black Keys EP was one of my favorite releases last year); I'd really like to see him fuse more of these elements in the dubstep scene, and starting putting out some really original stuff. To me the dubstep movement has always been about experimentation and I think the "I Need A Skrillex Bass" mentality has had an unfortunate stagnating effect lately
