Whyrez - Ventriloquism (Instrumental) / Dark 2 Step UKG

Post by wirez » Sun Jul 03, 2011 8:57 pm

Easy guys! New bit up... Dark & clubby 2 Step UKG beat. Looking for a vocalist for this one :4: Want to try and get it onto something similar to a 'DJ Luck & MC Neat - With a Little Bit of Luck' vibe!

Diggin that mid-range lead, the like, o.g. one that sounds like some kinda vintage fm synth...

FInd a vocalist for this one for sure, its begging for some lyrics...

All around solid one though man.

Love the skippy drum beat. It's kickin'.

Not too sure about the drone in the background. I'd like to hear it cut in and out for a bit of dynamic effect. But it's got a good skipping trancey feel which I like. Some more bass content would be a great addition too.

Digging the atmosphere..
Not a fan of the beat sounds though.. they are somewhat ruthless in this context.

That lead was pretty damn thin initially, it's mostly processing making it sound beefy and vintage, I am definitely happy with the way it sits, sounds nice and wide (without taking up too much stereo space) if I do say so myself!

Definitely want some lyrics for it really, unless I can license it out for a game like Hadean suggested - that would be heavy!

Thanks dude :)

Glad you like the beat, the drone was actually the whole point of the track really :o It's what gives it the dark effect with the mixed upbeat contrast!

Think the bass is sufficient, there's plenty of sub and it's best not to overdo it with mid range sounds when making tracks for vocalists. If the track gets popular enough when some vocals are in place, maybe I'll request some Dubstep remixes & you'll get your basses :W:

You're not the first German I know who can't get on with UKG  Can't see how you'd find them ruthless though :| Care to elaborate? :)
