Places to avoid?
Places to eat!?
Standard prices?
Whats this food token system someone mentioned in a review!?
Things that are to must to pack!??
What about staying clean!?
What's the crime like!?
Where can we lock stuff up!? What are the lockers like!?
Best to learn some croatian before we go!?

What stage is the best!?
What stage is the worst!?
Do the stages arenas get full up!?

Things to see while your out there!?

Anyone had any bad experiences over there!?

also
What are YOUR thoughts on Youngsta not being at Outlook 2011? If not what about J:Kenzo, Lx-One, Toast not being at outlook!? (If they are then that would be too good!!)

i know what you mean mate, im going for the first time this year and just generally curious about what's going on.
i've never been to any foreign festival before and just kinda worried about stuff so hearing other peoples opinions and that really puts my mind at ease!

OK
I'm taking about £300 with me. Mostly Kunas, the rest Euros

There is nowhere to 'avoid'. S'all good!

Campsite has a few burger stands dotted around, a pizza shop, bakery, green grocer, convenience shop and a lovely restaurant. Go into town if that isn't enough.

Can't remember the prices, sorry.

Food token system - you buy tokens at the campsite for use in the fort. It's just a system put in place so people are less likely to get confused over change/foreign currency when smashed.

Things to pack - a waterproof in case it rains, one hoodie in case it's chilly in the evening, flip flops, sunnies... an extra towel might come in handy - one for the beach, one to dry yourself after washing. Just standard stuff really.

Staying clean is easy, the campsite ablution facilities are more than adequate.

Crime was little to none last year. (not including all the Outlookers that got locked up for drug offences)

I didn't notice lockers last year, it's rumored there will be some this year.

Learn Croatian?!? Nah, no need really. Learn the basics in the interests of politeness.
Good morning - dobro jutro
Please - molim
Thank you - hvala
You look like a trustworthy fellow. Do you have any ecstacy? - Izgledaš kao pouzdan kolega. Imate li kakvih ecstacy?
Could you speak slowly. I'm shit faced - Možete li govoriti sporije. Ja sam govno s kojima se suocavaju

No way of knowing which stage will be best/worst this year. They do get full up though. Arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Things to see - the sunset/rise.
Also, if you like a drop of culture, pop into Pula and see the worlds 6th largest amphitheatre

Image
You know you love it!!

Yes plenty of people had bad experiences when they got arrested and locked up over night for getting caught with drugs. DON'T MESS WITH DRUGS or at least don't get caught

Hope this helps :t:

What's the standard beer like etc!?

Apparently in the sea there are bare sea urchins is this true!? Not really too keen on walking on hurting feet for the festival because of some damn sea creature!

I guess you can't bring drink onto a boat party? Any tips for the boat parties?

I went last year for 5 days going for 8 this time:
How much are you money are you bringing-As im going for a week and its ridiculously cheap probably £170-180 in kuna and about £40 in euros for when waiting around in european airports
Places to avoid? Not really any i can think of, generally a lovely place
Places to eat!? Places on campsite the food is actually of good standard and theres a campsite cafe place and a place which does mega pizza slices
Standard prices? Very cheap compared to british festivals especially booze! heres a few examples: £5 for a litre of vodka, £1 for 2 litres of vodka
Whats this food token system someone mentioned in a review!? Food token system is good cos you dont end up running around with shitloads of notes and losing it when pissed, just go up to a stand and exchange money for tokens
Things that are to must to pack!?? The standard holiday things really, sun cream, etc. if youre camping then obvs a tent and sleeping bag
What about staying clean!? Theres proper campsite cleaning facilities not like porta showers which people shit in at leeds
What's the crime like!? I noticed nobody getting robbed but if you take drugs over there be very cautious, a friend of a friend had 1 joint walking back to the campsite, undercover cop jumps out of a bush he gets a night in a cell and £400 fine
Where can we lock stuff up!? What are the lockers like!? Theres a little booth in the campsite a man sits in who looks after your passport, everything else was safe on my person
Best to learn some croatian before we go!? Nope its all good english is the way

What stage is the best!? Best stage for me is between the mungos for the soundsystem but the outside arena is quality for the atmesphere broke'n'english & chimpo was brilliant there
What stage is the worst!? Cant really think of a bad stage it was the best 5 days of my life
Do the stages arenas get full up!? Mungos arena was full for a short period on the dmz night but thats expected

Things to see while your out there!? I didnt see much as i was only there for 5 days but ill be going to see alot of the stuff in the city i think this year

Anyone had any bad experiences over there!? As i mentioned above a friend of a friend getting caught smoking weed and ending up with a hefty fine and in a cell.

P.S. I can guarantee when you first walk into the fort and hear the bass in the night sky you'll experience an amazing feeling. Skanking on the beach in the day time is one tres enjoyable past time aswell. Such good vibes last year just chatting to anyone and everyone about anything
Its still 2006

You have to book camping beforehand.

BE CAREFUL OF THE JELLYFISH!!! I saw a monster in there last year, luckily no one was hurt and the lifeguards fucked it up.

I'm excited to go into Pula!! I just stayed in the festival site last year, so this year I'm going all out. Pula guidebook an' errting!

na its not that bad mate. plus as far as i can recall there were never any police or security down at the beach/campsite so we were just blazing all through the day.

yeah, dont walk around while smoking and just keep an eye out for people that looks like theyre not your typical steppa kind of person. ive seen a picture of one of these undercover cops and its not that hard to tell really.

Anyone InterRailed and made their way down to Outlook before? From the UK or nearby?

The last day (the 4th) is my 21st so the rents have agreed to pay my travel (I'm thinking InterRail ticket), so I'm thinking of going to Amsterdam for 2/3 days to meet some mates that will be there, then getting an InterRail ticket that starts when I wanna leave Amsterdam, getting night trains so I skip out on paying for accomodation and making my way down to Pula for the festival.

Reckon this is viable?
