i think the scariest thing about f*ckin wit your hearing is when you imagine how it may effect your life overall when you're old.
what do you think you can do with your time when you cant
-listen to music
-watch films without subtitles
-go to parties
-have conversations with more than two people in the room.
it sounds extreme but i've seen people go through it. trust, hearing would be one of the last of my senses i would want to live without.

i've had the blind vs deaf debate ad nauseum in the pub. i'd easily give up my sight instead of my hearing.
the post-dmz tinnitus i pranged out and started a thread about has cleared up now, but i'm going to invest in some earplugs because it really worried me. if anyone can recommend any i'd be much obliged.
i'd also like to know how much they affect your enjoyment of the music...it's all well & good being able to feel the bass in your chest but do they muffle the sound so much that you can barely hear it?

How about djing with moulded plugs?
I got me some moulded plugs some years ago, but I cant get used to wear them when I dj.
It makes my ears hurt because of the headphones, and it makes me turn the volume up a bit to much, because I want to hear more clearly what I do.
Could it be that my moulded plugs was badly made ? or does it take a long time to get used to? I think they are -9db.

I am getting £300 from my work for ‘personal development’ and I am hopefully going to blag some good earplugs and some headphones out of it, say some shit about DJing being my main hobby for developing etc etc.
Can someone plz direct me to the best plugs for c. £100-150 as can’t be bothered to read everything.
Cheers!!

Personally I think blind would be much worse. Constantly in the dark.pk- wrote:yesportia wrote: hearing would be one of the last of my senses i would want to live without.

At least being deaf you could feel the bass, and never have to listen to chris moyels' voice ever again

yeah definitely couldnt live without my hearing.
which makes it quite worrying that theres something wrong with my ears, i keep getting pain in them especially when djing or near loud speakers etc. dont think its tinnitus tho as theres no ringing. i went to the doctor and he said he didnt know what it could be and not to worry, easier said than done tho as im sure it cant be right to be getting pain
