Dude this is really awesome, I'm guessing you guys over dubbed the drums with a sequenced drum rhythm for the album and music video?

I'm trying to do some live instrument stuff to and it's good to see the same. I'm wandering if most of your songs are vocal heavy? Or just that single..also whats your demographic and stuff? Are u trying to get ur stuff to a particular audience? dj's in the club or to the more pop oriented listener maybe?

Thanks so much for copping the EP sir! We do 'Green Hill Zone' with the live band too - we filmed it as part of the same session, video to come soon, so keep an eye out for that...

In answer to the above question, nothing is overdubbed or sequenced on those live videos. Everything with the live band is triggered/played - with the drums we use pick-ups on the acoustic kit, and these trigger sounds from a drum machine. What you end up hearing is a blend of electronic and acoustic sounds. Hope that makes sense! It's a bit of a rule of ours - for our productions we sample bits of live instruments and sequence it all obviously... but with the live show we want 'live' to mean LIVE: no playing along to backing tracks, or pressing play on an Ableton file. Every sound you hear, you can see its origin... I've lost count of the number of times I've been to see producers' 'live show', only to see one bored guy hunched behind his laptop, twiddling a knob every 10 minutes.

Well, that's the logic anyway!

My god that is sick. Being someone who likes bits of every genre, i love this.. i've been to see so many live bands in the past including a lot of rock as well as reggae and original dub bands. Its brilliant to see this cross over in dubstep/garage/grime, i think its something that could really become popular (in a good way, done properly). I used to go to a lot of ska and reggae gigs and sometimes they'd have dub support acts.. being at the front with the huge bass going was fantastic and is similar in some ways to being near a speaker while a DJ like mala is playing.. to have a full band would be something i'd defintely like to check out!

Seen videos of James Blake, SBTRKT and true tiger doing live shows with instruments and it looks brilliant. Big up!

Yeah man thanks a lot - to replicate the physical rush of something like DMZ in full force is exactly what we've been influenced by. Hearing the Iration Steppas rig at the first DMZ nights in Leeds back in 2005-2006 inspired us greatly. Why shouldn't a live band be as overwhelming as that!? Also the above artists you mentioned are wicked as well, so nice to get a comparison like that.
